I'm sure most of us have them.

Mine would be when I changed the name of this topic after a misunderstanding of my original question (caused by bad wording on my part) caused others to answer the question you see now.

As years? High school. I didn't have enough humility.

As moments? Happened in college. Less said about that, the better.

From 2nd semester of 1st year of elementary school to the last year of high school. Yes, that's over half of my life.
Finally now that I've started university things are actually starting to look normal...

Err ... I'm either a robot, which I am, probably, not ... or, rather, ignorant, but I do not have (remember?) embarrasing moments in my life...

There was never anything you did that you are embarrassed about now? So you don't regret a single choice you ever made?

Regretting a choice does not make it an embarrassing choice.

OK, in that case, what if I said most regrettable?

Obviously I've made bad choices over the 30 years , but nothing major that would stick to memory .
Never thought about it berofe . Gues I am super lucky or something ( or  a robot :) )

I make bad choices all the time...

The way you view them is what makes something either regrettable or a learning experience.

I totally bombed a couple job interviews.  I could have regretted that, but instead I decided that mistakes are something I need to learn.  The next interview I didn't make those same mistakes and got the job.

Guilt and regret are the most depressing ways to feel about mistakes.

Would you change the topic title back to 'embarrassing'? Let's not change history. Posting a question change is enough.

OK, I did that, though I should point out that it wasn't my intended question. The edited one was my original intended question, I just didn't word it very well.

Back in my teens, many moons ago, me and my parents went to visit realitives and attend a family reunion. I believe I was 17 or 18 years old. We stayed in a motel room right across from UofO college campus in Eugene Oregon, USA. We  planned to attend the reunion the following day at a park near a lake. Friday eve my parents decide to go out and left me to watch movies in the motel. They gave me 20 bucks for a pizza and there just happened to be a pizza joint a few blocks away across from one of the sorority houses. After ordering I noticed a couple of hot chicks sitting at a table. I'm trying to look cool, cool for a 17 year old alone on a friday night. I ordered the pizza and told the clerk it was for the dining room as I decided this would be a good place to hang out for a bit. Finally my order is up and the pizza came on a stainless metal platter, those round metal disks with no retaining edge whatsoever. Walking past the girls, I find an empty table nearby. When I go to place the pizza on the table, which I tried to plow down in a swinging motion, it flew off like I was throwing the discus at a track meet! Half the pizza stuck to the table and several pieces landed on the floor. I heard the girls giggling at my expense.

I gathered up what was salvagable, sat at the table and sulkingly ate a slice. After that piece was down, a few more giggles and several funny glances from the girls later, I decided to get some tin foil wrap and go back to the motel.

So, not nessicarily the most embarassing, but very tramatic at the time. ;)

Damn... I thought that only happened in movies.

Regret... I missed my chance. The opportunity presented itself and it slipped by. I could have stopped. I should have stopped. I didn't. I might never again have such a chance.

I just had to get that down... Now that I've typed it, I might not forget in future.

That has got to be the one and only time in my life when eminem was preferable to no eminem, although still not preferable to M&Ms.

As this changed from embarrsment to things you have regretted, I might as well add to the list.

The one most thing I have regretted in my live is the fact that I haven't had the balls to ask this gilrl out for the past... three months.  :(

No, it's still embarrassing things...

I chose not to change it even though it wasn't really what I meant in the first place.

So what if you finally ask her out, and she says yes, and you go on a date, and it sucks?  e.g., it turns out you have nothing in common, or she thinks Frungy is stupid, etc.

Wouldn't you feel like a complete chump for building something up for so long when the outcome is, in the end, completely indeterminate?

Man up and just ask her.  Like, right now.  If it works, it works, and if it doesn't, you can get on with your life.
