Title: Music to the masses! Post by: Son_of_Antares on September 28, 2009, 10:14:39 pm I know this forum is not choking with traffic but as a music junkie I can't help my curiosity but to wonder what is going through the playlists of other posters on the UQM forums; so what are you listening to people? :)
I'll go first Elric the Enchanter from Hawkwind (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Y47UZpp76Eo) I'm drowning my mind in the works&worlds of Michael Murcoc for the past few weeks and when I found out that Hawkwind has an entire album dedicated to Elric I got hooked in an instant...^^ Every and all music genre is welcomed, whatever song is you fav at the moment, so I expect that you post your asses of! :D Title: Re: Music to the masses! Post by: RTyp06 on September 29, 2009, 12:33:47 am Right now I'm diggin' a band called Puddle of Mudd (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=lG-mWhnXd_k) and some of their heavier stuff (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=oMKfRlCnqyc&feature=related) is pretty good too.
Title: Re: Music to the masses! Post by: Tiberian on September 29, 2009, 11:01:38 am I like all kinds of music, but the best songs are "hero music" such as The Magic of a Wizard's Dream (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=nZDc0js-m2Q) (featuring Christopher Lee)
* EDIT I have collected some legendary songs from various sources at my web space. Epic Pinball Enigma (http://koti.mbnet.fi/tibe9mm/Enigma.mp3) board a very atmospheric (?) background music (http://koti.mbnet.fi/tibe9mm/Half-Life%20Opposing%20Force%20-%20Track%2018.mp3) from Half-Life: Opposing Force: the legendary Finnish lottery music (http://koti.mbnet.fi/tibe9mm/Lotto_-_Arvonta.mp3) from the 90s and probably the 80s as well blu-ray introduction (http://koti.mbnet.fi/tibe9mm/blu-ray.mp3) music and finally the song I have listened to thousands of times, the greatest song of all time: Hyperspace Re-enter Mix (http://koti.mbnet.fi/tibe9mm/hyperspace-re-enter.ogg) Title: Re: Music to the masses! Post by: Son_of_Antares on September 29, 2009, 06:52:46 pm I find out about this one today and almost died laughing! ;D :D :)

The Clansman (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1fL548OgEIk) by Iron Maiden (Yehat, of course) We Want Revolution (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=mWDyPw0vFxw) by Covenant (Androsynth) Planets (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=AZ04Zd_Jf38) by Tiamat (Chenjesu... particularly the second half of the song) Judgement (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=V-FuQm9O4wE) by Anathema (Kohr-Ah, somewhat) Title: Re: Music to the masses! Title: Re: Music to the masses! Post by: Dabir on October 08, 2009, 09:42:26 pm This (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=MXIzyquw-kc) trippy little song, with associated crazy video.

Yeah Rush is a classic band. I love Tom Sawyer (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=JsKBIBJj-4M) Title: Re: Music to the masses! Post by: SweetSassyMolassy on December 04, 2009, 09:40:49 pm This one really reminds me of navigation music in SC2, although a little more ambient. (A lot more like the midi navigation music in SC3 actually)

Mostly I listen to heavier stuff. There's all sort of stuff in my playlist, though, from classical to anime OSTs. Title: Re: Music to the masses! Post by: Alvarin on February 18, 2010, 10:10:51 pm Didn't want to open a new topic for that, but if you want music, why not listen to the sound of this forum!
There is a nice prog that does just that! http://www.codeorgan.com/?url=forum.uqm.stack.nl Title: Re: Music to the masses! Post by: Gekko on February 19, 2010, 11:39:28 am Now that's awesome! It sort of makes me think of some alien tune. Not sure which one.
EDIT: And now it's all different as I wrote this reply. Hm. Title: Re: Music to the masses! Post by: Alvarin on February 19, 2010, 11:41:12 am It reminded me of original Slylandro homeworld tune.
Title: Re: Music to the masses! Post by: Tiberian on April 14, 2010, 09:53:15 pm I had to resurrect this thread because I have been hooked to this song for the past few days:

I'm currently listening to I'm on a train by Drive Like Maria http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=R9xHkhK_Z4U Title: Re: Music to the masses! Post by: Alvarin on April 14, 2010, 10:03:35 pm http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5rGhb0pAK30
My latest favorite and the new ringtone Title: Re: Music to the masses! Post by: Dabir on April 15, 2010, 12:41:09 am This sort of thing (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=MW4OCA3ZlOI) is pretty much all I'm exposed to thanks to doing very little on the internet other than watching the yugioh anime. Good song though. This series has had a lot of (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=SnvdDHiPglQ) good music (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=d3imriBT0Sc&feature=related), even in the dub (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Au3P7ILTdH0) which is unusual (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=PnWf-ewwc48&feature=related).
