Title: Acquiring credits
Post by: uqm76 on October 01, 2009, 06:07:51 am
Can someone please tell me how to get credits in order to purchase form the Melnorme?  I only have 16 and I'm not even sure how I got them.  All I'm getting are RUs.

Thanks

When exploring the planets , you have to stun (shoot) the lifeforms (Green dots on radar) and collect the capsules . The collected lifeforms show as blue bar on your lander screen , like the red bar for minerals .

SCAN the rainbow worlds, you get 500 credits for each one you find. Find 5 and you can buy all of the technology upgrades the melnorme will sell you...

Orbiting a rainbow world is enough.

Do the planets ever refresh with resources/monsters?

Orbiting a rainbow world is enough.

I thought you had to scan it enough for it to say 'rainbow world'. Maybe that was just in the PC version, in which it wouldn't just say what kind of world it was up front? Or is my memory flat out screwy on this?

I am pretty sure I was burned once by not scanning a rainbow world enough. Certainly can't hurt to do it.

You do have to scan it for it to say "rainbow world", but just orbiting it is enough for you to be able to sell the location to the Melnorme.

Well,  I've killed the lifeforms and collected the capsules on the plants Ive been on and noticed the blue bar go up.  But when I see the CR it still shows 16 and hasnt gone up at all.  Any ideas as to why the CRs arent increasing?

You don't actually collect credits, you collect bio resources, you can see them on your cargo manifest. Offer them to the Melnorme.
