Title: Re: any uqm cheats? Post by: unigolyn on February 01, 2003, 02:45:53 am If you've never played the game before, do NOT read on. Half the fun of the game is exploration and trying to find good resource planets.
***SPOILERS*** An easy way to get started fast is to google for Rainbow World coordinates, visit about 3 of them, and max out your technology, after which resource gathering becomes much less of a hassle. If you really want to cheat the best you can do is either change and recompile the sources, or download a program such as Game Wizard - you give it a value (2500 RU) and it finds the position of that number in the memory - where afterwards you can change it as you like. I wouldn't suggest cheating because it takes out some of the fun (gathering minerals) but just one thing - DON'T give up on the quests and don't go reading walkthroughs. Now THAT would ruin your game. Cheating in RUs just makes it easier. Title: Re: any uqm cheats? Post by: Azarule on February 01, 2003, 07:02:51 am NO !

I remember the Kohr-Ah started going 'round and I didn't know what to do, so I jumped to Quasi-Space and stayed there for like a year or two, then when I went back and clicked the starmap I saw everything "happening" in real time.. hahah that was cool Kohr-Ah move... Circle disappear. Move, disappear. .. :D Title: Re: any uqm cheats? Post by: Zip-Pok-Tic on February 03, 2003, 12:23:09 am Quote NO ! NO ! AND FOR THE LAST FREAKING TIME : NO !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! YES ! YES ! AND FOR THE LAST FREAKING TIME : YES ! ___________________________________________________ Here's one: The Melnorme will give out free fuel to you if you ask them to fill your fuel-tanks. (They'll even give you a $1 tip) So don't bother buying any fuel at the Earth Starbase. Another cheat: You can sell Fuel at the Starbase and go back to Hyperspace and get fuel from the Melnorme for free.(Keep repeating this for Free $$$ from the Starbase.) :) There you go. I'll guess that it's supposed to be a secret. -.- Damn, someone should of said that sooner in this thread. Title: Re: any uqm cheats? Post by: Fencer_Naiad on February 03, 2003, 03:58:43 am Well this is my first post here but I've looked through the fourm several times and after all of the very unreasonable and nasty responses to this question I felt I had to say something. After a little bit of searching I found a save editor that the board memember Mu made. I've been using it with ver 0.1 but I haven't tried it with the new unnofficial update. The editor can change your ship's loadout, crew on board, RU, Fuel, and landers. Unfortunately it cannot give you credits or technology, or edit the ships in your fleet.
Although I will admit with a simple search you could have avoided posting, considering the chances of you being the first person to think of posting about this are low. :P And here's the link to the editor. http://aftermath36.homestead.com/files/UQMEditor2.zip |
