Title: UQM+ Post by: onpon4 on June 13, 2010, 02:17:56 am UQM+ (http://www.freewebs.com/lightmanuqm/) sounds very interesting and fun. The one problem is it won't run.
This is the output I get when I run it: (http://img229.imageshack.us/img229/4201/uqmpluserror.png) I have UQM+ in the same directory as UQM 0.6.2. I'm not sure what to do with the "lbm" directory, but I tried just putting it in content\. Should I maybe install an older version of UQM for this? Title: Re: UQM+ Post by: Novus on June 13, 2010, 09:53:22 am UQM+ is based on UQM 0.3 (or, to be more specific, the CVS version labelled 0.31), so you should probably install UQM 0.3 (or at least the content) and then put UQM+ in the same directory.
The error "Could not copy default key config to user config dir: No such file or directory." is what UQM used to say when running it for the first time but with the content missing. Title: Re: UQM+ Post by: onpon4 on June 14, 2010, 03:28:18 am I can't seem to find version 0.3. Does anyone by any chance know where to find it?
EDIT: Nevermind, I think I've found it. :) Title: Re: UQM+ Post by: Lukipela on June 16, 2010, 11:18:38 pm You should also take a look at the extended version (http://www.submedia.net/uqm/) if you want changes. Or maybe you already have?

Yeah, I have it. The thing about UQM+ that interested me was not changes, but difficulty settings. Unfortunately, I have discovered a fatal error: hyperspace travel doesn't cost fuel. And of course there's the fact that you have to manually edit the controls, rather than having the convenience of a menu interface. Extended Edition, on the other hand, only adds some small trinkets, and presumably because it was modded from an unstable version of UQM, it has a bad habit of crashing every once in a while. |
