I kinda forgot about this forum for a long time.  I'm guessing around 2 years or so.  Couldn't have been longer ago than when the last version of UQM was released.  Did I miss anything good?

0.6.2 now is the latest. There are couple on mods done and a big project by Cedric, to which demo is due end of September. Couple of good games between here and SCDB. That's all I can think of right now. Oh, one more - Shiver freaked out over dispute with new guy and left.

Fred Ford has been hinting about some new mysterious project and Paul Reiche was interviewed about their new game for the PNF. Not that he revealed much, or anything really.

D:  Shiver's gone?  How long ago did this happen?  Which new guy?  Where's the thread?  I kinda liked shiver.  I'm pretty sure I just pissed him off everytime I ever talked to him, but still. Is there a chance for a Shiver Redux?

He had been inactive for a while before starting the second thread, but had been working furiously on the Balance Mod for about a week and a half before deleting his account. He's not been in #uqm-arena since, so he's probably not coming back.

D:  that makes me really sad.  It also made me think about how it seems like most of the people on this board are either Finnish or insane, or at least the ones I remember.  You know?  I mean, Valaagar was.  I liked him and stuff, but he was definately insane.  And I vaguely recal someone going beserk, and it was related to medication.  And someone else I met here's at least a little insane, due to things beyond their control.  Ok, so that's not most.  But it seems that way.  Anyone else get that feeling?

There are some non-Finnish sane people here. Mind you, sanity is overrated, especially on upside-down Tuesda hahahahahahahahahahHAHAHAHAHAHAHA

I was kind of shocked when Shiver just left like that. I mean, he put up we ME, of all people, for several months (a year?), but when one little guy posted a big image, he just left. Doesn't make any sense at all.

Perhaps when he went inactive he was sick of putting up with you, Valaggar, etc., and came back only to find (supposedly) even more irritating people. Still, a little... over the top.

Welcome back lakota. I kind of have an area of my memory that is shouting: "I've seen that nickname before." However, I'm not sure if you were on the arena or not. Shiver left due to many reasons, one being the thread in question. Let's say that once you eat cereals every day you begin to long for something different. Drop in the arena if you have the time to play a game or two.

Yeah, I remember talking to you in IRC occasionally.   I'll come in at some point soon, probably.  I moved in with my girlfriend I met online this summer, and we've been playing all the games that I think she needs to play, because she wants me to play Final Fantasy with her afterwards.  I'll probably get her to play through UQM soon, and I'll probably get on IRC around that time.

You know the stereotype about computer geeks living in their parents' basement? We don't have a basement, but it's otherwise mostly applicable. As you can imagine, this limits the guests I can invite home quite a bit.

Admiral Zeratul, you went beserk here? I didn't realize you were here back when I was.  But yeah, you're not Finnish and you mistook me talking about other insane people for talking about you. That makes you crazy too, right? Is there any one here that's neither Finnish nor insane?

This forum comes up to 10, maybe 15% of the insanity of some forums I'm on. Don't worry guys, I love you all anyway.

Most of the forums I go to are more laid-back by comparison. Do not be fooled, though, I am indeed the craziest!

I don't mean that the board itself is insane.  It seems pretty laid back right now, and when I was here before.  I meant that the posters are insane, more than the posts themselves.  Nothing particularly insane happened on the board with shiver, but him leaving like that is kinda insane.  Am I wording what I mean to say correctly?
