Title: @developers: Many many thanks! Post by: Brakiri on October 03, 2010, 11:13:26 pm Hi,
i just registered to say: Thank you! Thanks to all the people who made this project possible and made my favorite game of all times playable on windows. The music enhancements are incredible, and the speech throughout the game is magnificent! You made the game even better, which i thought was impossible :) Again, thanks from the bottom of my heart :) kind regards Brakiri Title: Re: @developers: Many many thanks! Post by: chenjesuwizard on October 03, 2010, 11:18:49 pm Have you tried Project6014? It's a demo for a sequel to Ur-Quan Masters.

So did you notice that Babylon 5 got a lot of its ideas from Star Control 2? :D It did? I had not noticed. Please tell me what you mean. To be honest, i played SC2 AGES ago, so my memory is probably full of holes ;) Hyperspace? I think that is far older than SC2. Inertia? No thats just physics.. Precoursers -> The first Ones? I give up :) Have you tried Project6014? It's a demo for a sequel to Ur-Quan Masters. No i have not tried it yet. But i will. Thanx for the tipp! :) Title: Re: @developers: Many many thanks! Post by: Valos Cor on October 04, 2010, 03:50:23 pm There's also Elvish Pillager's Crazy Mod, UQM extended, UQM+and a lot of others! (they're right here: http://wiki.uqm.stack.nl/Mods )
I think Project 6014 is the only one with a plotline that's like a sequel, not like an extension. There are a host of abandoned ones, though. I haven't tried them all, so I may be wrong. Title: Re: @developers: Many many thanks! Post by: Brakiri on October 04, 2010, 04:31:27 pm I tried Project 6014 but i couldn't find the Shofixti.
I also found a Melnorme-Vessel but i couldn't buy anything, he just repeated the same" Please contribute to this game"-stuff over and over. It seems there is still much to do ;) Maybe i try a gain in a few month. Title: Re: @developers: Many many thanks! Post by: superbutcherx on October 04, 2010, 04:40:42 pm Brakiri,
have you tried buying the "Current events" option? (Assuming you've enough biodata and have sold it to the Melnorme) Title: Re: @developers: Many many thanks! Post by: Brakiri on October 04, 2010, 05:54:49 pm Yes i tried that, but the answer was the same.
I had no biological data, because i forgot how to stun&scan the lifeforms, so maybe that was the problem. How do i scan/stun biological lifeforms on planets again? Oh..wait..manual.txt...RIGHT CTRL or ENTER: Fire stun bolt :-[ Title: Re: @developers: Many many thanks! Post by: chenjesuwizard on October 04, 2010, 06:03:33 pm The shofixti are somewhere in the Gorno system.
It's only a demo, so it's only a taster. It'll be a while before the full version. Title: Re: @developers: Many many thanks! If I may say so, its also a cliffhanger! Title: Re: @developers: Many many thanks! Post by: Brakiri on October 04, 2010, 06:37:52 pm The Melnorme said something about the Messier System, but i can't find that on the starmap.
Title: Re: @developers: Many many thanks! Post by: Valos Cor on October 04, 2010, 06:55:09 pm Try pressing the "/" key to search, but instead of searching for "Messier" do a search for Alpha Messier, Beta, Gamma, Delta...etcetera.
Title: Re: @developers: Many many thanks! Post by: Alvarin on October 05, 2010, 11:58:36 am Hope it's not a spoiler, but when you talk to Shofixti they give you three areas, try combinig that with area provided by Chmmr.
Title: Re: @developers: Many many thanks! Post by: uk_john on December 01, 2010, 01:25:09 am I registered for exactly the same reason - just to say 'thanks a lot' for this great free game that mixes the best of the 3DO and PC versions of the game! In one word, it's AWESOME! I would actually put it up there with the fabled Elite - that's how good it is!
So thanks again to the people that put this together - kudos to you! |
