Title: music conversion Post by: storyyeller on February 20, 2011, 07:59:28 pm Is there any way to get the music in an ogg or mp3 format? I can't figure out how to convert it.
Title: Re: music conversion Post by: oldlaptop on February 20, 2011, 08:41:48 pm MikMod (http://mikmod.raphnet.net/) is a MOD player capable of saving its output to a raw WAV file. It's an ugly text-mode program though, and they only offer source code as a download.
There's always the 3D0 music, if you don't care about having exact copies of the PC MODs. Title: Re: music conversion Post by: storyyeller on February 20, 2011, 10:04:43 pm I looked at the 3do music pack, but it appeared to be missing the species themes.
Title: Re: music conversion Post by: JHGuitarFreak on February 21, 2011, 06:25:00 am That is because the race themes are in .mod format which is like an advanced MIDI with its own "instruments" in the file instead of just a general instrument patch.
It seems PNF hasn't their mp3 conversions anymore, hmm. I'll be back with some helpful .mp3 files for ya. Title: Re: music conversion Post by: JudgeYohance on February 21, 2011, 07:18:59 am You can always run the game files through a file converter. I use Prism myself. Another trick is an audio patch cable linked between the microphone and headphone jacks (This is how I often record music out of video games for m show. )

Takes seconds for each file, the hard part is encoding them into a usable format and then tagging them. By the way here ya go storyyeller : DOWNLOAD HERE (http://www.megaupload.com/?d=RGXTBQWA) If there is any more demand for it I'll upload it to my mediafire folder.
