Title: Reproductive Assistance Post by: Admiral Zeratul on August 13, 2011, 04:07:31 am I have a most unusual question for you all, so prepare yourselves
(http://wiki.uqm.stack.nl/script/images/e/e7/Supox_comm.png). To become the dominant species on their homeworld, the Supox initiated a symbiotic relationship with the other plant and animal life forms. In exchange for food, they gave them reproductive assistance. How did they do that? Title: Re: Reproductive Assistance Post by: JudgeYohance on August 13, 2011, 06:06:09 am They give them all the public information films they forced us to watch growing up obviously :)
Title: Re: Reproductive Assistance Post by: onpon4 on August 13, 2011, 03:05:52 pm Which way is it? Did the others give the Supox reproductive assistance, or the other way around? If it's the former, it could be something as simple as the relation between bees and plants.

In exchange for food, they gave them reproductive assistance. How did they do that? Someone needs to talk to you about the birds and the bees. I mean literally, birds and bees. =P The thing I find more interesting about this statement is the suggestion that the Supox had to initiate this symbiotic relationship. I would have expected such a relationship to develop naturally, probably long before the Supox gained sentience. Perhaps that's just "history being written by the winners" though. The Supox think of it as "initiating" a symbiotic relationship when really nature took its course and they came out on top. I imagine Supox philosophers must have endless debates about this. =P And if they truly DID "initiate" the relationship.... How did they reproduce (or get food) to survive as a species prior to attaining the level of intelligence required to take such deliberate action? I recall thinking that the dialog was clear that this was an inversion - the animals were receiving reproductive assistance. I suggest an "X-rated" tag so I can post my suggestion of how the Supox give reproductive assistance to animals.
