Title: Origin of the Spathi name Post by: Valos Cor on June 24, 2012, 09:28:58 pm I find out σπαθί is Greek for sword, pronounced Spathi. I read a little about how other races' names were inspired by Greek.

I mean, why "sword"? For ironic purposes there would be much better words. Besides, the Spathi are pretty good fighters, when pressed.
