Title: Re: Alien captain name weirdness Post by: wminsing on February 24, 2003, 04:16:23 am not to ruin the fun, but the explanation (at least I think that's the explanation) is that both of the captain names originally come from SC1, when the Pkunk and the Orz weren't even a twinkle in Fred and Paul's eye ;D.

So it is actually thorugh divine intervention that it's happned! Also, rememebr that we only know that young Spathi's are called encrustlings... They might come out of eggs for all we know. And it would be very good for the two races as well. A couple of creatures able to actually sense the ultimate evil, and take due preparations! Imagine the usefulness in both societies! They could also teach the Pkunk to fight the Ilwrath in a betetr way, seeing as they'd have inside hierarchy information...
So, how fares the quest of replying to every post in the forum? it mus be going quite well, seeing as you're to posts that I've been involved in, which is quite close to the top I'd assume... Unfortunately some fairly interesting conversations died out, too. If those get brought back to life in a substantive way, more better for everyone. Primat is replying to all the psots that she finds interesting, right? And she is nearing the top of the list soon... That means that any good thread that has fallen off the first page due to this bumping is about to get bumped back up again! so soon it'll be happy days and jubilation for all involved! And anyway, Primat has become my personal hero for rejuvenating the Frumple topic, god of topics, so as "The Enlightened One" I officially sanction anything she feels like doing! Long live Fruuumple!!! Also, asking someone not to post so much because you can't keep up is really a bit like asking someone to shut up in real life because you only walk into the room every now and then and therefore have to catch up on the conversation... The topics that died for a reason will sink back down again rather quickly, whereas the good ones will be given new life! At least for a while... Despite how incredibly support people like Omni and Luki have been, it seems a lot more people would prefer the convenience of being able to have all their posts stay on the first page.
