Title: Stuck with a Skylandro Post by: AppleMarineXX on January 22, 2013, 06:30:38 am I was entering a system to mine, and at this time, I lacked escorts, and had 21 Crew left, when a Probe came across me.
I am unable to escape, since a few seconds after I warp away, he catches up, so I'm in a endless loop of death. Is there a way to fix this? Though if you have good thrusting and turning power and a weapon, you might be able to beat the probe.

You just have to make sure your ship starts far away from the probe. If it does you shoot two missiles and use the close range things (I do not know what the are called) to take out the last crew. I was stuck like you until i got lucky and did that. If you do not have any ships then you are screwed because the single ion bolt gun is very hard to aim (at least it is for me),.

This won't be far cuz it seems like you're slower than it is. As soon as you can, hit the escape key and you'll zip out of the battle after about 5 seconds. You'll lose a few men but be safe.

NOT!!! 5 seconds is a loooooooong time and that Slylandro would wipe out his 21 crew in far less time than that. I once made the mistake of doing that with about 100 crew. When the ship finally warped out I had 35 left. Question to the OP - why don't you have your friend Fwiffo? Did you lose him in battle? Because Spathi can kill the probes quite nicely. As one other poster said, you'll have to start over from your previous save and make sure you have either outriders or something to fight with.
