Title: help with getting gamepad to work Post by: Defender on February 25, 2003, 04:44:32 am i need help with a step by step walk thru on how to edit the keys.cfg file with notepad. im not making any progress with my attempts to edit it my self. nothing i do seems to wrork.
first i tried something simple like moving the space bar "button" to the right control "button", but leaving the right control the same to fire my secondary weapons. i didnt like having to move my fingers off key to open and exit icons. well nothing i did changed anything. what am i missing? i even erased all the lines that where for the keyboard but the key board still worked?? go figure i just want to use my game pad despertly. i admit im a newbie but im trying to learn. any help and i mean any would be GREATLY appreciated(sp). great job on the patch, so far only minor issues with disappearing weapon fire. only happens at med range screen and only at a certain angle. but all in all good job!!=pats on the back= to everyone who made this happen~DEFIANT Title: Re: help with getting gamepad to work Post by: Defender on February 25, 2003, 09:43:03 am ok i got three directions to work but i cant seem to get "down" to work. heres what i got:
