Title: De-cleansing Mod + HD mod + Linux
Post by: redstar1949 on September 07, 2014, 08:49:20 pm
Hi fellow UQMers,

I was wondering if it is possible to use both the HD mod and the De-cleansing mod with the Linux version of the game (at the same time). Is that possible? Are there any downsides to doing that on Linux?

EDIT: also, would it be possible to use a PS3 controller with this game on Linux?

UQM-HD has its own De-Cleansing mod in the settings. Cheat mode; Under Settings / Options, at the very bottom.

Whether it is available for your linux version though is another thing. Check it out here (http://sourceforge.net/projects/urquanmastershd/files/Beta%201/debs/) to see.

I'll note here that uqm-hd should compile anywhere vanilla UQM will (if it doesn't, I'd hope we consider that a major bug...); on most unix/linux systems you can simply download the source code here (http://sourceforge.net/projects/urquanmastershd/files/Beta%201/uqm-hd_0.2.src.tar.gz/download) and follow the instructions in the INSTALL file. There are Debian and Ubuntu binaries available simply because that's what I use and know.
