Title: More remixes Post by: CelticMinstrel on May 06, 2015, 06:16:56 pm So, I decided to make my own orchestral version of the Hyperspace theme. You can listen to it on Youtube (http://youtu.be/Ss0jG9HirdI) or download an mp3 (http://celmin.pwcsite.com/music/UQM/Hyperspace.mp3). (The mp3 is half the length because the Youtube version loops once.)

Also, is there a possibilty of using this theme into the UQM-game? It could probably be done.Getting it into the game means creating an add-on package though, I think. I'm not 100% sure on how that works, but presumably you could look at the Precursor remix packages (or the 3DO music package) for a reference. (They're ordinary zip files, but with a .uqm extension.) I'm not entirely sure if the game can read mp3s, but Finale produces an aiff file; I only converted it to mp3 to reduce filesize, and I could make the aiff available no request. (The YouTube video was actually made using the aiff, though iMovie probably converted it to something like AAC.) I find it interesting how clear it becomes that this is a bkg track when you strip it down to instruments like that.
