Title: How to change the UQM music remix package files? Post by: Orz? on July 10, 2015, 12:49:01 pm Is there any way? I am talking about The Precursor remixes: http://www.medievalfuture.com/precursors/music.php (http://www.medievalfuture.com/precursors/music.php)
There's just 2 remixes I'd like to exchange. These are both from the Remix Pack 2 (Neutral Aliens, Don't Shoot!), namely: 1. QuasiSpace - Through the Angles of Space (4:00) 5. Hyperspace - Across the Galaxy (4:12) I'd like to swap them with, respectively: Quasispace - Mystic Shadows (3:53) Hyperspace - Lightyears Away (4:23) Both of these are alternate remixes listed under Additional Precursors Releases and, as such, are not part of the packages that are used for the actual game music. Unfortunately, these are much better (in my opinion) and far more faithful to the original versions and I'd really love to know how to swap them for the others. I'm sure it is possible, I just don't know how to do it. Any help would be greatly appreciated <3 Title: Re: How to change the UQM music remix package files? Post by: Justin Z on July 22, 2015, 04:33:15 pm The .UQM files are actually just zips, so if you use WinRAR or WinZIP you can browse through them and replace the songs you want to change with the music you want. Just use exactly the same filename and the game won't know the difference.

Post by: Justin Z on July 22, 2015, 05:16:25 pm And just for some more info for ya--you probably will have to go through and explore around the files to find what you're looking for. The filenames aren't terribly self-explanatory but do provide some context clues. Worst case, you can just double click in WinRAR and it'll extract it to your PC's temp folder and open in your media player so you can see if it's the right one to replace.
