Title: Key mapping Post by: knir on April 02, 2018, 04:17:48 am Hi guys,
Sorry to ask, but is there any documentation on how to work with the key mapping configuration files? I saw something about using the file 'override.cfg' on the .uqm user directory, but I can't find any good specification on what should go in there. How do I map keys there? Is there a list of valid key names and mappings? Thanks in advance. Title: Re: Key mapping Post by: Death 999 on April 02, 2018, 06:35:35 pm I'd use the in-game configuration tool if at all possible. Is there a reason you can't?

I've tried to change the controls in game, but it only seems to affect Super Melee and ship navigation. I can't change the keys to navigate through main and in game menus. By the way, I'm using version 0.7.0-1 on OSX 10.13. Any suggestions? Thanks in advance. Title: Re: Key mapping Post by: romadu on August 20, 2021, 02:57:01 pm Is there a way in the code to modify the keys used for navigating the initial menu? On my arch linux installation, the gamepad is not correctly recognised by UQM so it's difficult to control the menu. After remapping, the in-game controls are fine, but the initial menu seems to operate differently.

I don't know if Arch does anything different than other distros but you can usually find the key configs in the home directory under ~/.uqm/ unless you've specified a different directory through commandline. |
