is there an internet accessible map that shows the spheres of influence as they were known back when the ship crashed in the Vela system?

Same question except for the other large scan from the original game.  The Quasispace map right?  Is there an internet accessible scan?  Thanks.

There never was a quasispace map that came with the game. You don't know about the existence of quasispace until you play through the game, so to play the game "properly" (ie, without getting hints and such), you have to make the map yourself.

wasn't there another large guide that came with the game?  Maybe the back of the hyperspace map.

If you had the CD version with SC1 and SC2, then you also got the roleplaying resource guide. Here's that:

I know what Igniz is talking about... it was a big white map that listed all the constellations, and showed where each quasispace portal went.

I dont remember the white map you speak of. But, if you want to make one, just use some graph paper, it'll take like 10 minutes

Never.  I never made any post in between.  I've actually never deleted a post from this forum, mainly because I really have no idea how to... lol.   ;D

The instruction manuals for the respective games should be on TPONAF.  I've found the guides for all three titles of the Star Control name...  you want me to send you a link?   Awww, but that would ruin the fun of looking for it!   :P

Heh, i made myself quasispace map with Autocad.. took some time and tweaking, but i have almost 1:1 scale hypespace map with quasispace ports on it. Damn usefull thing it is :)
