Title: Ur-Quan Kohr-Ah Problems
Post by: Joseph Tek Fox on April 28, 2003, 07:36:49 pm
No problems with the game.  No problems with the gameplay.  But damnit. . .  Why couldn't the Ur-Quan Kohr-Ah have waited a couple more years(game time) to start wiping out random alien races?!  Ugh. . .  Sorry, I just had to vent somewhere.  I'm gonna be really angry if they end up completely impeding my progress to blow up the Sa-Matra. . .  >.<

Actually, if you know what to do, you CAN slow them down for a long time. Send the Thraddash, the Supox and the Utwig against em, you'll see that you have a much longer time, around a year and a half before all three get pounded. The best way I've done it is to send the Thrad at them first, that way their Sphere moves a bit and allows a bit more passage. Then send the Supox and Utwig on em once their attention is drawn to blowing the pitiful Thrad's away. Hehe. ;)

The Thraddash have no effect on Kohr-Ah departure time.

If it helps any, few people manage to beat the game within its time limit on their first try. The game is almost designed so that you have to know some of where to go or what questions to ask of which people, if you want to beat it from a new game to finish.

That does make me feel better, actually.  Thank you.  ^-^

I guess the main thing that surprised me is I actually found myself starting to see things from the Ur-Quan Kzer-Za's perspective.  The Ur-Quan Kzer-Za really aren't that evil.  Just. . .  Forceful in their beliefs, to a point in which it would seem that they were evil.  As for the Kohr-Ah. . .they're really no different.  Aside from being tremendously forceful in their efforts to push their beliefs, they're no more evil than the Druuge, the VUX, or. . .hell. . .  Or even the Earthlings.

Honestly, I dont' see the Kohr-Ah as remotely evil. Just given to a different perspective in life.

But then, of course I do.

(Note also I don't see the Druuge so much as evil as a bunch of royal pricks.)
