Title: Digital speech. Post by: Rusty Greer on May 16, 2003, 05:29:53 pm I just started playing this re-released version of Star Control 2. Great game, but I seem to be experiencing some issues with the speech. I can hear it fine, but it has a great deal of static coming through as well. Any ideas on how to improve the sound quality, or is this just the way it is?

Most likely :) As an musician I have quite high standards.. not to mention that I'm more or less perfectionist. :) Title: Re: Digital speech Post by: Death 999 on June 05, 2003, 02:48:39 am I'm a musician too, but I guess my gamer self is doing the judging here.
Anyway, I'm SUCH a musician that my aural preprocessing is much better at hearing pitch than it is at hearing voice. Perhaps the distortion would be more noticeable if I ever heard people speaking at 100% to begin with... ;) |
