Title: How does hyperspace work
Post by: Zenon on December 02, 2002, 11:41:07 pm
So, i've gone to the star map and set a destination with the auto pilot. Now, how do i get the starship to actually move to the selected destination?

go to the star map, select destination star using enter key, then hit spacebar and go back to navigate.  the ship should move automatically from there.  remember to disengage autopilot as you near the star, else you'll crash =)

Hmm... I never had to disengage autopilot to leave hyperspace... using 0.1... a CVS bug?

You don't...Shivam was joking.

I'm not so sure he was joking.  My version of the game hangs every once in a while upon arriving at my destination star with autopilot on.  I've just taken to saving in hyperspace before I'm about to arrive.  Hadn't considered autopilot being the prob tho.
