Ok, I played the game on the computer when I was like 12 years old and beat it. Now Ive played it again"Thanks to toys for bob for giving the source for free, and the people that coded it, ive found no bugs so far in 0.2 release:-) But my question is, when you meet Zex, he gives you the clue..thin serpent that ate the huge one..I know that this isnt what he says exactlly, ---I dont have a saved game before he talks to me..danngit--But, I rember that I had to find a faq the first time. and this time I still dont know what he is talking about..Can somebody tell me what the riddle means? I know where to go but why???

Zex wants a man-eating, VUX-eating, metal-object-eating, wood-object-eating, dirt-eating monster.  It would probably be a chevy-truck-eating monster, if it could fit one in it's mouth.  The riddle is that it is somewhere in a star system in a constellation that looks like a snake eating an elephant.

I don't want to ruin it for you (you could have an faq do that), so I'll give you 2 hints.  First, it's in a star system extremely close to a quasispace exit point that otherwise doesn't get much use.  Secondly, a certain rhino-like race might know of such a beast, if you get them to the point where they'll tell you things.

You know how snakes always eat their prey whole?  The shape of the constellation looks like a snake with an elephant stuck inside of it.

This is one of the few clues in the game that you need the original map for (or a lot of patience).

Fwiffo and the Thraddash only tell you under abnormal circumstances. You DO NOT want to kill Fwiffo and generally if you subjugate the Thraddash you want to make them do goofy things.

Keep this in mind,it is not a device or structure,so it won't show in the energy scan,it's a creature,thus it's biological.

What I'd love Zex to say are the simple words, 'It's not the Horologii constellation." Everytime I play that game after a long hiatus (and forget where the beast is) I always head straight there. Why? Because it looks like an Ouroboros surrounding some sort of snack food.

Well I found Zex beast,but I still cant see the serpent? Do you need the map that came with the game??? Cause I lost it long ago with the ultima 4 map..Man what happend to puter games, now they give you little to nothing..I remember ultima 4. they gave you, A cloth map, 2 manuals, and a Anka..Sorry, just an old man remembering the old days:-) But isnt there a website that has the video for the begining and ending of the game..Just curious, cause I love when games have good endings:-)

Yea. your right. I bought master of orion 3 when it first came out..ouch..what do I get. an outdated manuel, The disks came in paper sleves..And the game was basiclly still in beta.

Toys for bob is still in business right? Jeez, I hope they make it..If not we can look forward to a star control action game for the consoles..Called star control enforcer..Sorry if this makes no sense..But my other favorite game is Fallout:-)

Yep, and the Ur-Quan in "enforcer" will be able to hide inconspicuously in the corners of rooms;  it would probably use the same engine as alien vs. predator.   :P
