Gaha Luki, your post had me laughing.

Now all that remains is to figure out which three Spice Girls will replace the ZFP.

I'd rather suggest Destiny's Child. They have only three members, and their hit number "I'm a survivor" would fit pretty well with the ZFP being nearby hostile Ur-quan and the like.

Anyways Megagun, I'm pretty much in agreement with others here. You might to try expanding on the story instead of just swapping the race names and graphics. I think if you could possibly edit the story, the idea could turn out pretty well. I also like the mentioned idea of the Kohr-Ah being the Androsynth. It would be better than just removing the Kohr-Ah frome the code, if you could find a usable graphic for them in-game.

Thanks, Defiant. These are the results I got back. Not bad, I suppose.

Haha, CLASSIC. I feel sorry for that one penguin, though. Constantly looping over and over to have the same nasty trick played on him.

These were the last two wallpapers I used:

They're both done by immensly talented artists on deviantart, and you can view their main pages here and here for more of their artwork. nyepyep
20  The Ur-Quan Masters Re-Release / Starbase Café / Re: My new avatar. on: July 16, 2004, 08:05:24 am
I got lucky and found it on a google search when looking for an animated pirate avatar a few years ago. It was hosted on some site that had a huge bunch of random animated gifs on a single page, so I don't know who created it or how it was done.

However, I think that the effects in it kind of have a photoshopish quality so I can only assume it was created by Adobe ImageReady, Photoshop's primary animation/gif creation program. At least that's what I used to resize the avatar and slow the cycle/framerate.

True, true.

MoronicMaria could you slow down the cycle on your gif? it cycles to fast and hurts my eyes to a degree.

Slowed down the cycle. Hope that helps.

I have a wireless connection that constantly changes from 54 Mbps down to 11 Mbps (at least according to my computer's current connection stats), so I really have no idea how fast or slow I'm going in comparison to the other connection here. Bleck.

P.S

BioSlayer, not a bad artist considering you drew the picture, but the compression still kind of kills the quality.
24  The Ur-Quan Masters Re-Release / Starbase Café / Re: Other Games on: July 07, 2004, 05:08:07 am
Current list of games recently played/in collection:

Age of Mythology
Civilization III
Grand Theft Auto III
Halo
Impossible Creatures
Medieval: Total War
SimCity 4
Unreal Tournament 2004
WarCraft III

Most of these are great. Currently I've had alot of fun playing SC4 and UT2004. If you're fimiliar with the series, I recommend trying them out sometime.

I was angry there for a moment and I posted some mindless rambling. I browse through here every once in a while. Don't mind me, I get pretty hotheaded. As I see it,  everything is cleared up now, but seems I've attracted a guest poster/weirdo stalker audience due to my stupidity. Yikes.

But anyways, thanks for the reassurance.

Sorry about that. I apologize if I came off angry in my first post, as well as in the response, and if I disrespected any of the members here (Bio Slayer and probably everyone else). Thanks for tolerating my stupidity. Considering the attack from guest member "Smarter then you", I feel a bit reluctant to further posting here. Unless some people won't mind having an obnoxious teenager around, which seems unlikely. Kind of embarassed.

EDIT: I removed this post just for the sake of preventing a potential flame war. This probably came as offending to some people and nothing more than a mindless attack against against Bio Slayer. I'm tense at the moment, so I apologize for being an idiot. I got a bit offended myself and started rambling off. Thanks for tolerating me, anywho, for those who have already seen the original post. ACK.
