could you tell me, WHERE that hint site is?

I played starcontrol a long time ago on my amiga and later on starcontrol 2 with a friend on his pc. I was very happy to hear there is this project.

Is there somewhere an actual walkthrough around?

I found two old ones for starcontrol 2.

Both are not complete, but together there are nearly all needed information. With the help of this forum it should be possible to merge them and make them complete.
