As for TimeWarp we have permission from TFB to use UQM content for our  new sequel. We are working on it in TW-Light project:

We have already a complete plot, a dialog editor and some game graphics. Currently we are looking into filling the team ranks with Dialog writers and Graphic designers.

I'm tired of wading through large numbers of easy enemy ships. I want to fight something can kill me a dozen times before I beat it. Ideally this would involve a supergenius AI instead of making ultra-powerful cheese ships, but that would be very hard to program. The idea I threw down does not sound all that difficult to implement in comparison.

Or you can select several computer players against you in team. Lets see how long you survive.

For a long time  

You can add as many players to melee as you want, set same team to several computer players and enjoy.

I find it is very interesiting to fight against several computer that ally against you.
