First up, making a bad conversation decision can often ruin a potential alliance, as I'm sure you've realised in all your dealings with the vux. However, in this case, it isn't the conversation that would ruin your desired relations with the shofixti.
Blowing him out of the stars, on the other hand, indeed *would* cause problems.

There is no second shofixti that I know of, though I may be wrong.


As for the vux beast, I believe the arilou, or maybe the pkunk, refer to this same constellation as 'a chalice'. That clue, particularly in addition to the current one, might help you a little further.
(To be honest, I was thrown by this when I first had the clue ages ago. I know old old egyptian legends about 'a serpent that swallows the sun', and thus, having searched the serpentis system, went looking for something to do with this, alas, to no avail.

For my next SC hit I'm thinking of toying around with which ship is which, in order to both remove my ability to use spathi discriminators (which I'm sick to DEATH of using now.), and to make the enemy use some ships with speed.

I've figured:

Discriminator - Broodhome
Cruiser - Penetrator
Torch - Guardian
Jugger - Terminator
Terminator - Fury
Fury - Avenger
Blade - Torch
Skiff - Blade
Avenger - X-form
Drone - Scout (god only knows how many crew I'll lose fighting 10 of those)
Intruder - Discriminator

Anyone got any other ideas?

Hi all, just thought I'd post this, share my joy and all...



The last item in the 'devices' inventory is the moonbase item, showing that I never actually landed on the human starbase. This is just moments before the attack on the Sa-Matra.

Took me ages getting through those mycon ships, but I finally did it. Thanks to those that suggested trying this, shame I can't complete it since I can't compile the sources. I'll await the next release, I guess!

Hi all. I've been lurking these forums for a while, and playing SC2 for a long while too.

Though I love SC2, I find that it gets a little easy after you've learned a few of the basics, like rainbow world locations. In fact, I'd go so far as to say it's stupidly easy if you ever use spathi eluders / a powered up vindicator. As such I'm asking this question:

Do you have any 'challenge game' rules that you can set up for yourself to make the game harder?

ps. I tried 'no eluders, no vindicator' and had a good time beating the game. Now I'm trying 'don't ever land at the starbase' by FalconMWC's suggestion, but so far have had a *lot* of difficulty beating those space probes.
