1  The Ur-Quan Masters Re-Release / General UQM Discussion / Re: Start & End Game Videos on: May 21, 2004, 11:02:21 am
Thanks for the info. Can these movies be used in the game or are they just mpeg copies that we can view in media player?

Hi All.

I would like to know where I can download the videos? I've got ver 0.3 and played it right through. But once I beat the Sa-Matra I got straight back to the menu... Kinda dissapointing.

Please can someone let me know (also, if I have to download a different binary).

Thanks!

The zip files on the download page... Are those the DUK files? I don't wanna download 50MB to find out they're the wrong files (I live in South Africa, and the internet is REALLY slow here...)

Thanks

Sorry if this has been posted before, I searched, but couldn't find anything...

Has there been any progress in getting the game ending sorted out? I know there were 2 problems, the first was a licensing issue (no body really knew who owned the rights to the original 3DO movies). The second was actually porting them into a format that can be played.

If anyone knows the progress of including a game ending please let me know. A friend of mine (can you believe, someone who has never played SC2) wants to play UQM - but I've told him to wait until the game has an ending...

Thanks!

Linux for the PS2 costs $200. It's a kit that you buy, HDD, USB Keyboard & Mouse, Cable to plug the PS2 into a monitor and the Linux distribution compiled for the PS2 hardware...

Here's the link:
http://playstation2-linux.com/faq.php

I live in SA (South Africa) and recently bought a PS2 - cost me R2000 (rand) excluding the second controller and memory card - all in all it cost me R3010 for the console, extra controller, memory card, Final Fantasy X and Ridge Racer Type 4 (PS1). In dollars that equals $454...

So is mine. I have a Geforce 4 Ti 4200, and the TV out is hooked up the the tv. The problem is that my computer is in another room... So the gamepad won't quite reach...

I think I must just get a comfy computer chair - then I can veg in front of the PC....

Hmmmm... Don't feel like spending $200 just to play the game on a PS2. Guess I'll stick to the computer...

Thanks anyway

Will 'The Ur-Quan Masters' be ported onto any consoles when v1 is released?

I've just bought a PS2 and it's really nice to play games on a lounge suit, vegging in front of the TV ;-)

Plus, The Ur-Quan Masters is a remake of the 3DO version, therefore, it should be played on a console.

Any chance guys?

I've searched BugZilla and the Forums and can't find a post about this - so sorry if it's already in the forum...

While playing UQM, I've noticed that if you set an Auto-Pilot path, and then save the game while in a solar system, when the game returns it loses the auto-pilot path navigation...

This was a little annoying as I was in Ur-Quan space and there were a WHOLE BUNCH of those little black dots to the left of the screen (in hyperspace), so I set a navigation path to exit to the right... Just before I left the system I saved my game (fortunately), but that lost the nav path, so when I appeared in Hyperspace, the ship didn't move anywhere - got attacked by LOTS of Ur-Quan dots...

Like I said - searched BugZilla and the forum and couldn't find this bug anywhere, so many humble appologise if it's been posted before.

Thanks guys for making a SC2 fan EXTREMELY HAPPY that I can play SC2 (UQM) without having to boot to dos - and use a REALLY old Sound Card...

YAY - SC2 (UQM) RULES!!!!!
