Some of those are bonus releases (feel free to replace the official releases with these for your personal game if you wish) while others are intended for the upcoming remix pack.
As a long time Star Control II fan I'm looking forward to listening to the Alliance remix pack Smiley

I think it's pretty good. I actually liked the orginal more than the 3do version and this improves on it.

I like all of them except Hyperspace and Spathi.

The Spathi music sounds too fast and busy. The orginal made me think of the Spathi as wacky but when I hear the remix I think hyperactive.

Under A Red Sky and Mine the Heveans are both excellent along with Exploration. Rough Repair and Outfit are ok but I miss the machine sounds from the 3do versions and they are a little electonic for my tastes.
I don't like the new Starbase commander music, not because it is bad but because the original is my favourite in the whole game and SC2 just isn't SC2 without it. Same with melee although the first couple of seconds are pretty bad IMHO.
The ditties are the only thing I really don't like. Too many weird noises and echos. There were a couple I didn't mind but I can't remember them off the top of my head.

He means hack the source code and compile yourself a modified version of UQM. Personally I think it would be 100 times easier to just practice a little bit.

That is how you are meant to use addons.

This is a port, not a remake. Play Timewarp if you want pretty visuals (pity the AI sucks)

I like the Broodhome. Excellent at long range and pretty good up close.

It only has two real problems:
Not being able to run away from ships with powerful short range weapons due to its slow acceleration and turning speeds
Small fast ships getting in close behind, again due to its slow turning speed, although shards can normally take care of them.
