The Ur-Quan Masters Re-Release / General UQM Discussion / Re: Kohr - Ah Crew

I know this concept of one Ur-Quan per ship has come up a few times. However, is there actually anywhere in the game (or manual) where it states Ur-Quan fly their ships with slaves? I'm almost positive it was written in the elongated story included with the original manual, but never referenced in the game.

Joke: you've got a console, but you don't know which one it is. How do you identify it? Well, it's simple. Drop it off a building. If it still works after it lands, it's a Nintendo console. If it leaves a crater, it's a Microsoft console. If it disintegrates in the air, it's a Sony console. I'm not sure how well this joke continues to apply since the PS3 is ever so slightly bigger than the original XBox.

I seem to remember it having about twice (perhaps 400mhz vs 768mhz) the processor as the Game Cube, so you may have doubted wrong. Gamecube and Wii use PowerPC processors; XBox uses x86. Straight clock speed to clock speed comparisons between two different types of processors isn't exactly fair, since different architectures have different performance-per-MHz. AFAIK, the actual (known) specs of the Wii place it roughly at twice the power of the GCN, which would put it well above the XBox. And miles past the PS2, of course, which was less powerful than both GCN and XB. I should note that the true specs of the Wii aren't fully known at the moment though, not to random people at least.

I just wanted to drop in and say that we probably won't be able to deliver the remaining remixes on a weekly basis. Some of the remaining ones need additional polish and development, and other releases are being slowed down by technical problems.
From this point on, we'll release the remaining remixes separately as soon as they are ready. Hopefully it won't take long.
Additional polish is never a bad thing. You guys were beyond nice to even do this weekly deal for us, so we can't complain.

The last two he's already ruined. I think the only game movie he's not involved in recently is halo. He's also not involved in MGS; Hideo Kojima flat out said "Why is he even talking about this? He's not directing my movie." I love how he took Alone in the Dark and made it... not alone and not in the dark. And House of the Dead wasn't in a house either. I heard some rumor that he's making movies because there's some sort of law in his home country that lets him get money for failed movies; making it sound like he's making bad flicks on purpose. I don't know how true that is though. I'd assume we'll get Syreen before Pkunk too, but has anyone said whether we're getting remixes of the game's intro and ending tunes or not?

Unfortunately, it's probably gonna be about an hour before I can listen to these (need to go retreive my Mother from her work), but I already love the Supox one on its name alone.
EDIT: The Zoq-Fot-Pik track is as off the wall as it originally was, and I love every bit of it. The Supox one... very funky. It felt like a "blast this out of your car stereo on the way to the beach" track at points. Both are excellent at any rate.

Supox is left, and also Zoq-Fot-Pik. (of which there's already a beta floating around, and it was a dang good beta, so I wouldn't be surprised to see that one show back up as the final) So that makes 6 left.
That's assuming they don't remix the intro or ending tunes, or give us another track or two for orbit reasons. (though I can't think of any types of planets left that would need different tracks than the existing 5 orbit tunes)
