Beats me.  It looks fine to me.  Maybe your computer has an older page in the cache?  Try refreshing the swf file: http://www.ethanfleischer.com/tuqm/tuqm.swf

I have started research on RSS feeds. Hopefully I can figure out how to rig one up at some point.  No timetables yet, but have started looking into it.
3  The Ur-Quan Masters Re-Release / General UQM Discussion / Re: the 3D animation from the 3DO version on: October 01, 2009, 05:49:12 am
huh, so okay...

if I'm reading that right, it says you can only play the spinning ships videos, NOT the intro/ending, right?

So, is that torrent for the intro/ending too, or just the spins?
I'm pretty sure that Chad over at the Pages of Now and Forever has all of the animations.  We've just rebuilt the site, and we're working on getting them back up soon.

I can't decide if it makes them more or less scary!   Kiss

Thanks for the tip.  I will definitely do that, Death 999.

We have five more comics completely done.

The art in this first one is pretty rough, I admit.  We're still shaking some of the rust off and establishing our working methods for the first couple of strips.
7  The Ur-Quan Masters Re-Release / General UQM Discussion / That Ur-Quan Master: Weekly Webcomic on: September 11, 2009, 11:13:37 am
  Every Friday.  Enoy, folks.

Announcing a new weekly SC-related webcomic: That Ur-Quan Master by Ethan Fleischer and Jesse Dew.  Follow the story of the lowest-ranked battle thralls aboard a Dreadnought during the Ur-Quan Conflict.

Experience:
A.  Fascinating alien cuisine.
B.  Practical jokes perpetrated against the most dangerous sentient species known.
C.  Substance abuse among the stars.  And,
D.  A plethora of absurd haberdashery.

Maybe he meant the Druuge Mauler's main gun.

I haven't had much time to work, but here's what I have done so far for the Earthling Cruiser:

This looks fun.  I wanna make one.  Has anyone done (or is planning to do soon) the Earthling Cruiser?  That would be easy for me to model (as they have top and side orthographic views in SC1) and it's one of my favorite ships.  Can I call dibs?
10  The Ur-Quan Masters Re-Release / Starbase Café / Re: PONAF (and SCDB) down on: January 06, 2007, 04:40:40 am
Okay, Scott contacted Gamespy, who fixed the problem.  I declare this thread to be closed.  Don't expect me back at the UQM forums until the next time the SCDB crashes.  My comedy stylings can be found at: The Off Topic Forum of the SCDB.  You've been a great audience.  See ya'!
11  The Ur-Quan Masters Re-Release / Starbase Café / PONAF (and SCDB) down on: January 05, 2007, 04:46:41 am
Yep.  They're down again.  Probably due to Gamespy's shenanigans, I'll warrant.  But wait!  There's more.  I declare (with the authority vested in me as a really old person) this thread to be the official SCDB until such time as the original goes back up, or a replacement is found.

As this thread is now the SCDB, I think it wise to post something amusing and pointless:  I was talking about Nietzsche recently with a coworker, and I maintained that he was attempting, in some of his aparantly pointless passages, to be humorous.  That he failed, I maintained was due to the fact that he was German.  Humor statistics by nationality (via Google):
"American Humorist": 201,000
"German Humorist": 190
"Korean Humorist": 13
"North Korean Humorist": 1

As you can see, even adjusted by population, Germans aren't very funny.  They are, however, not the least humorous people in the world, as even this small selection reveals.

I was WONDERING what was going on!  It finally occured to me to snoop around over here, as the most likely place to find news.  Two more days, huh?    Cry
13  The Ur-Quan Masters Re-Release / General UQM Discussion / Re: Looking post-1.0: "Shoring up" the s on: May 02, 2003, 02:23:02 am
Personally, the thing that always bothered me was when ZEX's Beauty got loose in ZEX's ship, and was supposedly right behind him.  You should be able to see it!  I want a sprite image of the VUX Beast to move onscreen right before ZEX dies.
14  The Ur-Quan Masters Re-Release / General UQM Discussion / Re: Chmrr on: December 17, 2002, 12:42:32 pm
I find the Androsynth to be the best anti-Chmmr weapon.  I can usually take an Avatar down without taking damage.  Drop bubbles in front of the Chmmr until it starts to get too close.  Then switch to Blazer mode and run away.  Hold down the special weapon button and the thrust button so you will keep changing to Blazer mode over and over again, until you are a safe distance away and can recharge your batteries.  You can do rapid course-corrections with Blazer mode.  Repeat.

Well, I was hoping that someone elbow-deep in the source code would have an answer, is it is pretty difficult to time 1 second precisely.
