Damn, am I the only person who likes the Thraddash?
Come on, all their ridicolous cultures that manage to nuke each other into or out of space, the stone age and everything else?
Also, they make for damn good fun in Super Melee. Nothing like friend everything! (Well, almost. A few ships pose a threat ;-) )
Well, Thraddash are funny. How easy to foul them ("We are the Fat Jerks") or how they misunderstood when Captain say them to be peaceful. And other nice quotes like "... until then, get lost!" But their ships are pretty weak.

Oh come on, how can you NOT like the Kohr-Ah? I mean, they are genocidal maniacs, but still. Their ships are cool.
I never really like the Chmmr myself, I mean sure their ship is good, but the Chmmr themselves are boring and have that grating robot voice.
And for some reason the VUX remind me of the French. I have no idea why.
Well, yes - Kohr-Ah ships ARE cool. But a bit too powerful. And the idea of their Trophy Pits - creepy. But have nice quotes though, like that "You did. We did. We can. No.". Besides their murderous doctrine and maniacal genocide orgy, yes, they are OK. I too don't like Chmmr race much. But only serious threat to their Avatars are Mauler and Marauders - that why i wrote "nice ships" and nothing beside VUX - French - thats right. But I too don't have idead why.

Most favourite: Humans - obvious reasons. And Cruiser are pretty good, comparing to their cost Kzer-Za - nice ships, and good intensions Chmmr - nice ships, but not much beyond that Arilou - the whole idea of "extended family" and influence upon Humans Yehat - honorable Spathi - best texts
Most hateful: VUX - bigots, but Intruders are OK Mycon - i doubt they are even self-aware - mindless planets doomers Kohr-Ah - unbalanced ships - and genocidal people Druuge - heinous slave traders

The Ur-Quan Masters Re-Release / General UQM Discussion / Re: Kohr - Ah Crew

May I be the first person to mention the concept of "suspension of disbelief", or "the suspension of realism for the sake of gameplay", I mean "crew" in SC is really more of a measure of hull strength anyway, as in real life if you fired a weapon at a ship you'd damage its hull, not necessarily kill a set number of crew. Kohr-ah need to have the same "strength" as kzer-ah ships for game balance. It does leave a rather interesting plot hole though, doesn't it... You suggest that Syreen steal hull??? I know this concept of one Ur-Quan per ship has come up a few times. However, is there actually anywhere in the game (or manual) where it states Ur-Quan fly their ships with slaves? Ur-Quan Kzer-Za MUST fly their ships with slaves, because if a 10 metre long Ur-Quan would like to fly in fighter, it (fighter) would have to be larger than Shofixti scout (in game scout is larger at least five times than fighter)
