please, Death 999, do put a spoiler warning although it's obvious. Just to be sure. ::Spoils for those unfamiliar at all with Lost. :: The two things that are left mysterious to me particulary: 1. Lock's eye-scar (did I miss anything?) 2. WHAT HEPPANED TO JACK'S FATHER'S BODY? we all sure have almost forgotten that his coffin was found empty in the beginning of the first season (did I miss anything here too?) Why Eko was thought to be a good person?
can you explain? I don't see what you mean. why Charlie had 'hate' and 'fear' written across his knuckles
didn't he change the 'fear' to 'FATE'?

that's interesting. I think that show wonderfully maintains a rigid balance of mystery. I'll explain: The thing that is so much unique and interesting in Lost is that since the very first episode, its genre isn't specified, and you "can't know" whether it could take a sci-fi twist and leave your mouth quite open. Sometimes I think that the creators of Lost made a script structure that is symbolized by an onion- while each layer is another mystory solved. We start in the middle of the onion, find out something incredible, then we discover another thing far more shocking, and so on. The real world's industry is problematic for LOST, because one can't know how long will it be popular and how many seasons will be once certain contract is over. So, according to the onion chart, the creators may have prepared the whole onion in advance, but how far does the show get through the onion layers? that's up to the count of seasons. I heard that there's gonna be a fourth season. imagine it..... (thats a damn LARGE onion plan they must have).
examples of the "layers" I mentioned earlier:
::DANGER, Serious Spoilers Ahead! (fine for 2nd Season viewers in the current episode as the US):: 1. the discovery of the island 2. the discovery of the dead pilot of the airplane 3. the transmission of Anna in the radio 4. the founding of the durg dealers' plane 5. The Hatch, including everything about it that we already know, during a sure speculation we have a lot more to know about it. (hey! look what heppans after the 108 minutes count down the hatch! those red markings were a cool thing) 6. The other survivors from the front side of the plane.
and there are many, many, more.

I always pondered about a problem the creators have with the script of the program. ::GENERAL SPOILER AHEAD:: (definately fine for those who watch the 2nd season)all the survivors in the island must stay there. there is really no possibility of them getting saved, because once the world finds them and rescue them, the program is over. in other words, once they decide a certain season is the last one, and the survivors are finally found, they won't be able to change their mind and bring the guys back to the island for a new season...... or maybe they could? --------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

only those slots marked with blue frame can occupy weapons. Also the slot in which you put the weapon determines the direction of the shot, i.e putting it in the back of the ship will make the cannon fire backwards, the front will make it fire straight, and the rest do the sides. you'll figure it out.

Wow, thats really impressive, I didnt yet see your previous movies but this thing really give a new prespective to the star control epic. the only thing I regret to see is that you used models which are highly (too highly) inspired from SC3. the dreadnaught turned out good but I never liked sc3's Chmmr Avatar. Other than that it's incredible. Man, fan made stuff really can step it up to a level of a movie. I mean - technology surely isn't the thing that prevents a full-length fan made SC movie from being created.

Also, the "insert quote" function (which appears next to posts in the Topic Summary when writing a reply) never seems to work - it simply says "An Error Has Occurred! Unable to load the 'quotefast' template".
same here. and that's supposed to be a usefull feature.

The trader's kinda... off. Defonately not on par with the others. Looks like you took a flat texture, bubbled it in the middle, cut out the shape, and tried applying shading to what was left. Unfortunately the result looks like the whole thing was cut out of a piece of wrapping paper and bent to give it dimension.
I like the texture. Try to be sure the black stripes between curve with the texture, not just cutting through it. Also, something in the black stripes so it doesn't just look like the ship is made of unrelated pieces. Then put the fins on last behind everything else. Sharp edges there.
Sorry, I usually try to be positive, but I think you need to go back to work on this one.
Sad, but Unfortunately very true. I agree with guesst's point and I really was going to bring it up myself. I wanted your works to keep being great like the probe, but I definately urge you'd go back to the drawing table with the Melnorme. just as said, except for that texture which is fine and suitable, a 3D model is not what I see there. also, all these "side-components" are re-done in the same method like you did to the main body. In a re-do of this kind NEW details must be inserted, those side-components need it badly. and the texture of the body is the only real fine detail I see. Again, please Censored I want this post to be taken an encoaraging feedback and not an elimination. don't be offended because we know you're capable of more, and I'll just feel better if you'd fill this potential. And i'm also sure that the other skillful artists here wouldn't mind doing this too, in case you wouldnt want to.

The Ur-Quan Masters Re-Release / General UQM Discussion / Re: "Fair Play" Options For Super-Melee

personally I like the current situation, and long, calculated battles as I see it is where all the charm lies, when you use some strategies and not only your technique mixed with luck in order to win. SC2 in his "antique" nature often encoarage people to rise suggestions to improve and add things to the gameplay. But if all these will make it into the game, we'll find ourselves playing a different game. I think the improvements we can put in the game shouldn't manipulate the gameplay too much, and if it must- so as least as possible.
And I really do think that we SHOULD improve things around the game to make it a bit more suitable to our times as long as we don't mess up what I said earlier.
