The Ur-Quan Masters Re-Release / General UQM Discussion / Re: Will there be cheats?

Yeah, how come console games never need patches or fixes? Computer games are always released unpolished because of the ability to modify the game afterwards through patches and such. In short, this has become a crutch which I think has impeded the success of computer games (at least compared to console.)

The Ur-Quan Masters Re-Release / General UQM Discussion / Re: Surviving the Early Game

Ummm the early game isn't too hard, but if you're having troubles, just save and load, save and load. I never played the original SC2, and I just downloaded this version a month or so ago, but I found the early game to be pretty easy. I don't know what all these people are talking about when they say use Earth cruiser or Spathi. Just use your freakin mothership it takes like 3 shots to blow them out of space, at an average loss of 0 crew per battle.

Speaking of that, any special tricks anyone had with Scorched Earth?
Yeah, if you used a hot napalm with a lazy boy guidance, and aimed right at the tank, often the shot would penetrate, through any shield, and then detonate, filling up the entire shield with lava and then killing them. So cheap. But failing that, just nuking everything with death's head was always fun, but it had an uncanny ability to only hit you. TD: No way. Tank Wars > Scorched Earth No sir.

Man, if there were any way to disable the time limit, I would be so happy. I like to just take my time and do everything and I hate being rushed into anything, even if I get 5 years. Even a cheat option or something would be great.

Yup, A time limit. In The Ur-Quan Masters it seemed that it is gone (Or is the date just missing...?) Time limit is a bad and good thing same time. Bad because knowing that there is a time limit makes you nervous (It makes me. Maybe I just suck in SC2). Good because it will give you freedom to do what you want when you want. Maybe there could be difficulty levels?? Definitely. All I really wanted to do is go gallivanting about the galaxy collecting minerals; now I find out there is a time limit!! Beginner: No limit, or something like 10-20 year limit Advanced: 5 years Expert: 2 years, maybe 3 and the enemy AI could correspond to the difficulty levels as well. I think it is a good idea at least. Please? I want more time to dick around
