I saw this thread, and it prompted me to exit lurker mode and post something again. I remembered that way back, someone drew up some art of the Chenjesu. I absolutely loved that. The topic was http://forum.uqm.stack.nl/index.php?topic=3904.15 Mind you, it is a very old topic, and people have come and gone between now and then. What I said in that topic though still reflects what I think of the Chenjesu; they might have integrated some tech from another race to make their crystalline bodies move around. They may have been fully crystalline and "rigid" in the past, the only movement of an entity is that of "growing" into a place. Chenjesu ships may have taken them ages to grow in the past, but with gathered tech have allowed them to expand and grow more rapidly. So my opinion in short; gathered tech have made them more mobile, before that time, they moved by growing into place, their appearance being that of crystals. Feel free to ignore it though, I always love seeing your artwork... Hmm, spam bot quoting something from the thread much earlier, and pretending it's its own stuff. And adding a spam link.

Finally watched it fully.
As a German, I always wondered where the notion of Reiche being a Danish name came from. It's not as if Danish use the "ei" sound like Germans do. But interesting that they kept the correct pronunciation of "Reiche" for those who asked through the generations.
Current UQM has 4+ endings, of which 2 are merged in the final credits, as there is no reference to the non-revolution: Death-March (you lose - you get a short talk) you got yourself killed (you lose - unceremonious ending fading to black) You win, with the Yehat Revolution started (you win) You win, without the Yehat REevolution (you win, same ending as above) Some in-betweens, during the death-march but you still destroyed the Sa-Matra (you win, same ending as the other "wins"). You slave-trader - you go to court (you win, but yeah, this ending has nothing else - whatever it takes)
But it indeed feels as if it's only one ending. (as "you lose" is not an ending a player accepts), and all others lead to the same slide-show, with the same credits.

On the forums, there's a discussion about how the Loroi don't trust Alex, as Alex could be a planted mole by the Umiak. Same for any Loroi that has been on an Umiak-occupied planet.
Recently, the suggestion popped up, that Fireblade, who was on an occupied planet, may have experienced stuff by the Umiak which makes her Sanzai susceptible for Alex to be sensed.
Or it's indeed just her strong sending, and her opennes to be received by all, because the Loroi have never made the experience that any non-Loroi is listening in.
