Also, practice enough and their little ship won't sting anymore, it'll MAIM.
Hmm....maybe. But it is kind of nice to see my little collection of ships all around me--one Earthling Cruiser, five Spathi ships (I stocked up before they slave-shielded themselves), and now the four ZFP ships. It's kind of the same warm fuzzy feeling a collector gets when a box arrives from eBay with the latest supplement to his addiction, minus the actual money thing involved.

The only thing that really frustrated me was that after I saved their planet, they had no new informaion for me. Gosh, I would've at least made up SOMETHING! ("Yeah, last week we saw this....uh....green guy with...uh...a message for you...um...he said he would see you later.") Just something more. Ah well.

Well, my conscience was starting to bug me last night--yes, I'm weird, and I know it's just a game--but all the same, I'd rather have the ZFP in my system than not. So I'll restore one of my saves and see if I can get to them in time.

Roll Eyes Yeah, I'm weird. Sorry.

whoa whoa whoa, you can actually play Morning Crescent? I'll have to check that out sometime.
Well, yeah, sorta. Heh heh.

The way you put it, Frungy seems like Mornington Crestcent. Tongue
That game sounds like a lot of fun. How do you play it?  Grin

Never mind, I found a JavaScript version here. Perhaps we could inquire if the code is open source, and if so, we could easily adapt it to the UQM universe.

Or not.

Unless you're using the famous TikTak's Gambit... Grin
Not the Gambit!!!  Shocked

Sorry, giving away information defeats the purpose of being ominous.
Ominous? It would have been so if it had had *asterisks* around the *words*. As such, it's just mysterious. Smiley

Watch this space...
OK, now my curiosity is piqued as well.

Hey! They're a three-for-one deal and have some crackingly funny dialog...

Too bad you let them die :-)
Hey, when I said 'dweebs' I was just being funny. The ZFP are probably the funniest race in SC2. Going to miss them, but hey, fuel's expensive and I have Ur-Quan to destroy.  Grin

It was the Orz, actually.
Yeah, those cats. Or whatever. Thanks.

there was the fact about the Vux replacing the Androsynth

Wow, I missed that one.
Err, I think it was. I may be confused. Someone ate the Androsynth.

Ah, OK. Haven't gotten that far yet. Thanks for the tip.

Nah, I'm well-familiar with the ZFP. They ARE really funny. I actually DID save them in an earlier game save, but had re-traced my steps because I had forgotten something. I don't remember why it was that I retraced my steps, but regardless, they're gone now and there's no use crying over spilt milk...or in this case, destroyed races.

Besides that, I had solved SC2 about a decade ago . That was using a walkthrough, however, and since my memory is foggy anyway I decided I would do it right, which means that I'm taking it slow and discovering the game anew. I am amazed at how fresh a ten-year-old game can be.

Thanks. I think I had already wrote the clues that I had heard down: there was the fact about the Vux replacing the Androsynth and the direction from which the Slylandro probes originated. Anything else I'm missing? I seem to remember that their ships sucked, so I don't think it's worth returning to previous saves for that.

I just wish I'd known that I was going to discover a worthless planet before I tried to reach them in time. Wasted a bunch of fuel on these dweebs. Ah well.

OK, so I heard their distress call and forgot about it. It's now August and the Zoq-Fot-Pik homeworld has been reduced to its base elements. Oops.

Do I care? Do they serve a vital role in the story later, or can I just shrug my shoulders, say 'oh well', and go on?

...but they're definitely neat to look at.
