Thanks for the detailed feedback, UQD. This bug has already been taken care of a while ago.
Like Alvarin said, explore, explore, explore. There are not heaps of content in terms of story in the demo, but there sure is a lot of nice bits to find if you want to immerse yourself in theSC2 universe again.

Maybe if you tell us what you've actually managed to see, we can then tell you what to do next

Hope all goes well here, consider this my poking the beast to see how development is coming along (Throws water balloon at Cedric and team)

 No I don't expect much but when the beast doesn't growl in a while the best way to check if it is alive is to poke it with a stick (At least that's what that guy in Zeta Persei told me) Smiley

Everything is ticking along nicely. But don't expect any exciting new releases any time soon.  Smiley
Most of the recent work has been on story development so there are no new cool art assets to show or anything.

They left way too soon if it was just to avoid the Orz. They were a prehistoric race in galactic terms (however advanced). It would have been like the ancient Babylonians fleeing Iraq to avoid the US invasion of 2001. anyway, the chances are the the orz arrived because the Androsynth ripped a hoe into another dimension

Also, I don’t think the fuel theory flies. I don’t think their ships were that big….
And if they were that advanced then presumably they would be somewhat efficient and not dependent on exhausting the galaxy’s resources.

I'd say that if the Kohr-Ah could wipe out the mycon in a month or two, then I dont think they'd be a threat to the Precursors.

Also, one theory is that the mycon were created by the precursors.

Here's an idea: The Lurg are secretly like only 2 inches tall but you don't find that out until later

When I first read that I thought “awesome!” But then someone just has to spoil the party by pointing out that it was done in SC3

For all its flaws, SC3 did have some pretty neat concepts. I can’t think how many times I thought “hey this might be a fun idea” but then realise that it was done in SC3. Hmmmm or maybe that says more about my ideas….

The game is done! It lacks no features that the average gamer will ever notice. The missing stuff is almost exclusively internal. I suggest you skip a 0.7 release and bump it up 1.0 immediately. Sure, this breaks certain version conventions, but at this point I feel it's necessary. You're needlessly restricting the audience with the current strategy. Most people will see the 0.6 or 0.7 version number and think "No way am I playing a game that is this unfinished/buggy". Please, don't dismiss this, but give it serious thought. UQM deserves better than the limited spotlight these version numbers award it. You're making it look like a pre-alpha product.

I disagree slightly. I don't think it should be 1.0 until the missing dialogue is added. The "average gamer" gets tripped up every time with the missing mycon dialogue. It's only those who played the PC versaion back in the day that can get by without it.

I won't suggest this game to anyone until they can actually beat it. And you can't beat it as it is.

Well spill Cedric! What kind of voices are you looking for? I would love to voice something (Any chance of me being an announcer at a Frungy game? Smiley )

I guerss its more the "artwork/design" aspect that I got excited about.

Voices are something we'll worry about towards the end of the project I think. There's nothing mroe annoying for voice performers to have to re-do there work becasue the writers change their mind about the script.

Maybe in a year's time well be lookign for voice actors!

And props to Alvarin forb using common sence to locate the actual rainbow worlds. I mean where else would they go?

Ever think of the millions of tons of skin sloughed off in the history of man? Dont you think a good portion of that ends up in your food?

To be perfectly honest, I dont really think about that all that often. Although i do know that 70% of dust in the home is human skin (or hair)

No apologies for the silence! We won't have anything new to show for months, so don't get your hopes up.  Smiley

At the moment I'm focussing on the story side. I don;t realy know what my colleagues are up to, I still owe most of them a few email replies.   Undecided I think they're all beavering away on something or other.
