in UQM without many turning jets you can find your self drifting around and not able to stop easily. whilst attempting to create my own space game i have come across a question that i cant find an answer to:

what is the term for "drifting" around in space?

for those of you that dont know what im on about:

in space there are no forces acting on a ship(unless your close to a plannet) therefore if i move i wont stop id just drift.

thanks in advanced

hello there,

go into super melee and choose a melnorme ship then fight with the ai. you will see the melnorme cockpit in the usual place. fly your ship around and youll see melnorme's limbs which should clear it up Smiley
