Hi Danman,

Thanks very much for posting here and telling us what's going on.

I'm glad you have considered my idea of having just Alliance V.S Hierarchy - I see you have decided to go for the more time-consuming route, but I trust you know what you're doing, so good luck with that and I'm looking forward to the results Smiley

If there is anything I can do to help, I'd love to - although there probably isn't, seeing as I have no graphical or coding experience.

Best of luck, and it sounds like a huge project to complete - but one that could easily turn out shit if you rush it. So good luck Smiley

tbh rather than have a separate faction for each race, I think they should make just two factions - alliance and hierarchy. That'd be cooler, and easier to do (less ships to create)

someone suggest this to them Smiley

I would like to see support for 1440x900 resolution. The changelog mentioned something about aspect ratios, is this going to help at all?

If i'm not mistaken, the original SC2 was in 320x200 resolution (or something like that) which IS actually 16:10, the same ratio as 1440x900. So surely it wouldn't be that hard?

Otherwise it looks blurry on my LCD

Somebody should upload one then Cheesy the game directory already has an .ico that would be perfect, that of the dreadnought Smiley

I'm willing to help with anything Japanese-related that may come up, and I'm sure there are a couple of others on this forum too. I don't check here very often, so drop me an email when/if something comes up Cheesy

Suggestion: Add a site icon. (the little icon that appears to the left of the address in the address bar). Most sites have them these days. I suggested an ur-quan dreadnought, IE the same as the desktop icon for UQM. Make it the same for the frontpage/forums and hey presto!

 Cool
9  The Ur-Quan Masters Re-Release / General UQM Discussion / SC2 in Japanese for UQM on: January 27, 2007, 03:43:59 pm
Sorry to go thread digging, but I just had to.

I would love to help put UQM into Japanese. At first I was going to post saying I'm willing to translate, but then I saw there was already a Japanese version of the 3DO SC2. I wonder if the UQM team has access to the physical text? If so, they could simply chuck it into UQM no hassles. If not, I would be more than willing to re-scribe the in-game script so that it may be easily inserted into UQM. Being a Japanese speaker (like the above poster) it would be easy for me to read the text and simply re-produce it into say, a .txt file.

Any thoughts?
