1  The Ur-Quan Masters Re-Release / General UQM Discussion / Re: New crazy mod on: January 29, 2011, 08:21:17 pm
Oh, by the way, I've made a version fixing several game-breaking bugs.

- The game no longer goes out-of-sync when using multiple ships of the same type.
- The ZFP no longer have a divide-by-zero error.
- Arilou no longer divide by zero when shooting Mycon.
- The game no longer crashes when the AI plays Spathi.

The Ur-Quan apparently are gendered - The Kohr-Ah are led by a Primat, referred to as "her", while the Talking Pet in the apocryphal end-game dialogue refers to its lord as "he".

You don't have to host.

It's almost that simple.

It's even possible to make Ilwrath visible to you without the opponent knowing anything about it. Tongue

This.

I would, but the Colour Out of Space is way cooler.

If something is not defined, then it is undefined.

Blacker than the blackest black times infinity! Grin
Blacker than [undefined], you say? Cool

He probably meant "0*∞" as short for

lim[ f(x) * g(x) ]
x->a

where

lim f(x) = 0
x->a

and

lim g(x) = ∞
x->a

And then it is not necessarily undefined.
Right - it's not undefined if you specify the functions.

If you don't specify the functions, then f(x) itself is undefined.

It's the projectile of Vindicator's second weapon, and its explosion, at max zoom level.

But I'm still a little bothered that even though all Kohr-Ah circling the Sa-Matra were eliminated, they won the war. Is there any reason behind this, or it just "that's how it works"?
All the ships around the Sa-Matra are just a sort of ceremonial guard. The Doctrinal Conflict is taking place throughout the whole sphere of influence, between far larger fleets.

Ye can be destroying Marauders until the breegs come home
but ye are never going to defeat the Kohr-Ah until ye eliminate their Sa-Matra.

*bows out of thread*

...like making large ships not get as much thrust? Undecided
15  The Ur-Quan Masters Re-Release / Starbase Café / Re: Formulas - Need advice on: March 03, 2009, 10:34:52 pm
I meant thrust_wait. I'd think that more thrust_wait would give you less acceleration, not more.

also, the "dirnum" formula (whatever that is) is equivalent to the simpler: round(64 * mass / turn);
