The Ur-Quan Masters Re-Release / General UQM Discussion / Some ship's REAL purpose

Yes, some ship's REAL purpose. I just got Bio's Ur-Quan Re-Masters working and I noticed something amazing. When you get multiple ships fghting together, their use changes drasticly. Here's an example: I found myself piloting an Illwrath ship. During a free-for-all melee, that cloak suddenly gets a lot more fun...and useful. I just waltzed up to an enemy, fragged 'em, and cloaked again. I got fve or six kills that way. Then it hit me: when lookng at things from a fleet prospective, what other ships change. Now it all makes sense.
So, we approach again the problem of the Umgah design. WHY!? Now, it's almost obvious. The anti-matter cone allows the Ungah o present the enemy with an unstoppable wall. A wall that's also quite handy for removing excessiv debris from the combat zone, I might add. Should their Ur-Quan masters ever need to retreat, they could whie leaving said wall covering their rear. Once the faster shps get far enough away, just hit that 'ol backwards motion button and catch up with the rest of the fleet and provide coverage from there.
In addition, almost done here, you have units fulfilling rolls of artillery, the Brood Home and Podship. Units for close support and units made for mid range. Now, what have I missed?

The Ur-Quan Masters Re-Release / General UQM Discussion / Re: Poll: The Mother Ark and the Mmrnmhrm

Hmm...the question appears to have degenerated into these: Will the Chmmr complete their transformation and into what Is the transformation apart of the Mrrnmhrm's original mission or seperate Are the Chmmr subject to that original programming And finally: Are there Chenjesu and Mrrnmhrm still seperate and CAN the Chmmr seperate.
My own answers are as follows:
Okay, the first one has already been hashed out.
The second, my thinking is that our mechanical friends are still somehow fullfillinig their programming whatever that may entail. This means that until that programmng is revealed or terminated, we much remain ever vigilant to their true cause and purpose.
A ship, damaged in battle, may limp away and attempt to make repairs. On a ships as complicated as the X-Form or the Broodhome, this could take years, even decades. Or they may even set up shelter and remain until rescued. Which.....would never have happened since the alliance lost the first Star Control War. However, the fact that they were never discovered during SCWII would indicate that they, assuming that they exist, would either be an advance scout in the opposite direction from the front, or they have laid low for fear of the Ur-Quan. There are, of course, other options, but I can't think of them right now.
Btw, the reason you may not have heard of me(ha listen to me: may not. Ha) is that this is my first post....yeah...my coworkers looked at me REAL funny when I did my happy dance around the office.
