I was wondering if anyone here is into real Astronomy, you know the kind where you own a telescope and binocs, you go outside and know where alot of the stuff in the sky is etc..
     Even though I live in NYC I am a big Astronomy buff, and I can thank this game way back in 1994 for getting my interest up towards Astronomy.

 So anyone here into it?

If so how much, what do you own to look at the sky, etc..

I own a Meade ETX 125 Mak scope and a big pair of 500 dollar 30X80 binocs with fully multi coated optics on ALL surfaces.

Thanks DEFIANT! I tried the file and it works with both my Sidewinder pad and my hacked SNES pad!
     Now I can truly enjoy the game thanks to these 3 people on the forum : ( and of course the people who are making the remake! )  Mark Vera, Nic and Defiant!

I would like to see something using the Freelancer engine, which is 3D, but your entire flagship is also rendered in full 3D inside and out, and you can walk around inside the ship and look at 2D computer terminals on the bridge monitors that actually work, so those who like 2D wont be left out. Smiley

I am having this same problem - if someone could email me their keys cfg file that is completed thats for a USB pad on WinXP ( I use a Microsoft Sidewinder 1.1 ) I would be VERY THANKFUL!!

( Fustration builds here due to not able to play with a pad! )

Yes! I would love it if you made keys configing part of your program! I have to thank you for the program because it was the only way for me to get fullscreen btw Mark. Fullscreen with all the goodies on ^_^
   
    I am still trying and cannot get my keys to work right with my pad. Arrgh!
So yes, my vote would be yes, it would make a great program of yours even better if you decide to inculde a keys editor thats as easy to use as your program is now Mark! Smiley

Will the setup option on the main screen of the game ever work and/or be useable? What could be or is planned to be in the setup option? Does anyone know?
Just curious, and hoping for a easy to use way to setup your gamepad Wink I can't program and I am totally lost on how to edit my keys.cfg file - even with the help in there. =/
     Well I think that covers it for now - back to trying to locate the Xindi Weapon for me!  Tongue

Well it's natural to us, because I at the least first played the game through 3 times with the 3DO controller. I cannot imagine using a keyboard to control a ship in combat LOL
I know one thing, I could destroy anyone who uses a Keyboard with my controller, I am 100% sure of that - keyboard is just too clunky.
Perhaps if I started with the PC version years ago, I would hate the controller as well. ^^

Would it be possible if you guys added a 'power user' mode or something? I mean like a mode where every trick possible could be used at the same time to make the graphics look as nice as possible?
I run a P4 2.5ghz, 1024mb ram and a geforce 4600ti and I would love to see settings that could punish this computer.
   How about in addition to the 2xSai mode, the 2xSai 'Super Eagle' blitter, and other advanced video enhancment modes, ( found in such emulators as http://nebula.emulatronia.com/ .
  That emu has many, many, modes that i *think* could really enhance the graphics in SC2.
But I am not a programmer, so I have no idea how/if/possible at all converting these modes to SC2 would be. I am just presenting more ideas to build on the brilliant suggestion of putting 2xSai into the new remake.
So um there we go. Smiley
