1  The Ur-Quan Masters Re-Release / General UQM Discussion / Re: I always get stuck somewhere on: December 19, 2007, 09:34:59 pm
I meant Syra, sorry.

Similarly: how am I supposed to find out the location of the Mycon homeworld?

I wish this game had a log, a la the Infinity Engine games. Ah well... I'm trying to figure out how to discover the Syreen homeworld ingame. I know there're plenty of websites telling me exactly where it is, but it's far more satisfying to feel like my captain's figuring it out as he goes along, not working by psychic revelation.

I think I read something saying the Melnorme tell me, but I've been through all their conversations, at least *thinking* I was paying attention, and while I remember they mentioned the Syreen I don't remember them giving locations. It'd be really annoying if I managed to miss, because the one thing I always remember when I play this game is that the Syreen quests are always the ones that give me headaches!

If it is the Melnorme, could someone tell me specifically which subject it's on, and how many clues in it is? And if they're feeling *reall* generous, maybe post a transcription of the Melnorme speech? Smiley

Ta,

J
3  The Ur-Quan Masters Re-Release / Technical Issues / Sound = none? on: December 15, 2007, 12:05:09 am
Oops. UQM was running perfectly, until I got too ambitious about the soundcard. Now it crashes on opening, and tells me I should run with no sound... but I'm not clear on how to.

Presumably once I run it soundless I can change the soundcard back to the default setting and then start with sound - how do I do that?

Thanks,

J
