It's my fist post here, so "Hi everybody!"

Well, the topic may be a bit confusing. A few years ago I played a freeware linux game largely resembling StarControl, but it was something like a shooter with elements of adventure. Well, there were missions and all, but mostly side scrolling shooting. And no, it's not UQM

Like in SC2 you would start your adventure in "Sol" solar system.

Well, I searched high and low for this gem for a few years, and I still can't find it. In fact, that's how I got hooked to SC2/UQM 1,5 years ago, through the "Sol" keyword. So I thought: maybe someone on these boards heard something about such game. Any info apreciated.
