I will try a ''dumb stab'' but when you try to buy main area equipment, do you try to move left and right to cycle through the possibility once selected... E.G to add a crewpod you need to press 2 times 1 to select a slot and one to actually buy the item.

I know it is kind of dumb of an answer, but maybe it will help!

hehe! Obvious reason for me Wink at the time I picked a name, it sounded nice and I loved it. Since then, I switched to Slylandro for most of my other accounts!

Always SC2 related tho!

Death 999, because of the number of ship, the battle space was always zoomed out to the maximum? Did they have problem with friendly fire? How did they manage that?

With either of the 2 powerful hyperwave casters you can talk thru the slave shield to the Chmmr.  Why can't you talk to the folks at any other slave shielded world?

For that one, a bit of lore can explain the reasoning. The Chmmr retains the natural sensibility to hyberwave broadcast of the Chenjesu. By the virtue of this fact, they can detect what is coming through the slave shield while other enslaved planet will not be able to do so. I think that at some point, the game mention that no matter how good the hyperwave broadcast is, it doesn't match the capabilities of the Chenjesu. But, I am not sure about the last one.

For the other comments, well I will let somebody else on the plate.

To be honest, I didn't come back to play  Roll Eyes I am more interested in working on different projects and simply hang around on the forums. But, I will try to come to IRC from times to times!

I just recently saw project 6014 and UQM HD...Impressive!

Hi guys,

It's been a while since I got involved on this community! I guess university was eating my free time! But, I decided to come back. So, what is new around here? Is there still some net melee going on (so I can get my butt kicked over and over again!)?

Nice to be back tho!

13  The Ur-Quan Masters Re-Release / General UQM Discussion / Re: Help wanted: colouring SC-related comic on: December 11, 2008, 05:12:02 pm
I could help you...the way you did your inking is quite simple. I think I can match that and make it more appealing. Story wise, I will be honest with you. I can give you idea and such but cannot go further than that! I just want to ink the comic because I wanted to do this for a long time. This is my main interest in your idea Smiley. Only thing you will need to do is to give me either a fully drawn picture that I will to ink from A to Z or a pre outlined picture of yours that just need to add color...In both case I can do it. I am not a good artist in term of creation. But, for coloring in photoshop, it is quite different than to create an art from scratch

Let me know for the rest!!
14  The Ur-Quan Masters Re-Release / General UQM Discussion / Re: Starbase functionality on: December 11, 2008, 05:06:08 pm
I would agreed with this defenition...especially when we know that this station is ur-quan based..so it is able to defend itself...and NOBODY would put a window on a freaking battleship...that would be dumb...especially in space!

You're right about the sickbay window, I hadn't thought of that. Perhaps we could chalk that up to "animator didn't want to have a moving background for cutscene" or "nobody thought of that anyway".

As for the flagship, it's possible that the reason you see it when you talk to the Commander is that it's docked to one of the docking tubes and you can only see its front. I would imagine though it would have to go inside the starbase's construction area to get the various modules added to it.
15  The Ur-Quan Masters Re-Release / General UQM Discussion / Re: Doable, or crazy? on: December 08, 2008, 07:54:16 am
First of all, if you refer to plain C...I think this is a waste of time to start with. Now, people will probably bash at my head for that call, but I think if you are learning to code, why don't you go to something more modern. I may be wrong but I think C# or C++ will be more important to master than C. I am strictly talking about career wise or value wise here.

Second, before even begin to code. you got to come with something ROCK SOLID, a plan give us MEAT. I want to do this this and that....interesting.....but rather empty.
EXAMPLE:   2. Make full fleets fight each other

How much ship?
How will friendly fire be managed
how will tracking weapon react
will there be a target selector? something similar

also if you plan to do a remake story or a spin off...Nail the story fist and do NOT ask opinion about is this good. The reason is quite simple...you will never end it. Do what you think is a good idea...THEN ask them for help and opinion on other stuff...not the story.

You got to sold something to us. For that matter you need a solid briefcase! I don't know where you are heading career wise, but let me tell you that you got to fight hard sometimes and come up with more than just idea
