Hiya All,

Been awhile since I've been haunting these woods but thought I would share this picture. It's supposed to be reindeer cupcake (before putting on eyes). All I see is zot-fot-pik!!

Sure, its not the best thing on the market, but it is open source (modding happy time!) and its handmade Cheesy I do like the qwert + nubs + touchscreen. Gimme a wiz link?

I've got mine happily pre-ordered and I should get it at the start at batch two.... though I did pre-order way too long ago to want to remember and I hoping that by the time I actually receive it, it won't be obsolete.

Main reason I wanted it: To take to uni in my pocket and write lecture notes (or be playing games) while also being able to hold it in my pocket. Also for its size its insides aren't too shabby and i will run most of my most loved games. I think I just feel in love with it because it is hand-made and minus the big company crap.

Probably my most long awaited and most expensive impulse buy while on stumble-upon!

*goes to go hope it will arrive soon*

That is very cool! I want one!

Oh stumble upon is dangerous.... my curiosity just urges me to go on! And there goes a couple of hours Tongue

5  The Ur-Quan Masters Re-Release / Starbase Café / Re: What type of nerd are you? on: December 27, 2008, 01:44:08 pm
Well theres the "smarty pants nerd",  also known as the know-it-all but usally a bit nicer Smiley which I think I am. I suppose that could be counted as someone who knows alot of science and mathematics.

I suppose there could be the sci-fi nerds, which would cover the Star Wars nerds. Woo for sci-fi!

Well I'm not really a computer nerd...but I am typing this on top of a stack of 3 laptops, hehe.

Of course it isn't quite an exact science but nerdom is a state of being in which only some hunams can metamorphose into. It consists of us people who may be way too good at something, those of us who can eat a packet of chips in thirty seconds and those of us who decide to shun the norm and be our own little weird self. Tongue

I'm a nerd and I'm loving it!!

(I'm sorry if I just exploded anyones lame-o-meter)

(oh no! did i really just post that)

Oh I love the good old Pkunk and not just because you can re-spawn, I love the super maneuverability and being able to run away very quickly. Also there is something deeply satisfying about being able to hurl insults at your opponents.

My worst would have to be the Mycon due to its lack of maneuverability, I feel like a sitting duck and a very big one at that.

Tricking AI's is fun, they're so predictable at times.
7  The Ur-Quan Masters Re-Release / Starbase Café / Re: Economic realities of the SC universe on: December 19, 2008, 10:47:53 am
Well I'm guessing that each race has its own type of trade but for those that do use currency I wonder if there is some sort of stock market used in the same way we do. I suppose similar races could do it given that fast communication across the stars is possible. Hmmm a funny thought globalisation on a galaxy wide scale, galaxation?
8  The Ur-Quan Masters Re-Release / General UQM Discussion / Re: Fwiffo and vegetables on: November 30, 2008, 04:09:41 am
If Fwiffo was afraid of vegetables then this would be his nightmare:

Man, I couldn't do that if I tried, I just like fwiffo too much. However I would like to  know what those glowy bits are Smiley and the thraddash are fun to annoy.
10  The Ur-Quan Masters Re-Release / Starbase Café / Re: LHC on: November 20, 2008, 01:13:40 am
Yay! that means my knowledge was not faulty.  Smiley

I am curious as to know whether or not, if there so very many collisions, there is a very small chance (obviously very very very small chance given the vast number of collisions) that there could be a black hole created, well by one of these random particles "Oh no! a black hole formed in the upper atmosphere" hehe. While it would be a very tiny chance I wonder if it has happened... Wait a minute I mean a big bad black hole (sorry I forgot the LHC was creating a tiny one).
11  The Ur-Quan Masters Re-Release / Starbase Café / Re: LHC on: November 19, 2008, 06:08:56 am

but who had the time to calculate that?

I think there are many many bored people out there that would calculate that (I mean it would be kinda fun).

While to my knowledge these collisions happen all of the time, we're just trying to study one in controlled conditions, so no harm done, I would like it to open a quasi space portal and say BOO to the Arilou (Although would it be possible to creep up on an Arilou?).
12  The Ur-Quan Masters Re-Release / General UQM Discussion / Re: Ideas for more alien races on: November 13, 2008, 12:56:03 pm

Hmmm yeah.  That gave me an interesting idea (with the genetic engineering), mabey if the human race had itself diverged into, well, the current one and cyborg or biomod sort of race. They would be very mysterious, like a long lost cousin and would act alot like the Arilou but would be very hard to find. Don't know how they would act in the overall plot though, mabey making things a bit easier (or appear so) popping up at random points saying things like "Ahead is fear but behing is sunlight". Slightly crypitic clues. Anyway they would watch over thier fellow humans but at the same time not wanting to be seen themselves.

Or perhaps I've read too many sci fi books.

Convient road block...... sniffs of oil

and America has one or two more people... might result in a downfall rather faster. Not that I'm wishing it upon them.

Rome did ruin its environment but it was on a so much smaller scale it didn't really make much difference on the world scale. Stuff like clealing land, just not as massive as we do it now and I mean its kinda hard for one million people to live in Rome and not do any damage. Not to mention the technological advancements since then.
