He is using XNA which is pretty much exclusive to C#.

it may be cheap, but it was funny.

You mention physics as a weakness. I have been working on a 2d physics engine for a while and it can do some very complex scenarios its called Physics2D.Net. Take a look at an demo video.  Its licensed as MIT so you can use it in your product. It’s written in C# so it may not be too useful to you. The solver is based on an old version of Box2D which is written in C++.

My engine does have a few weaknesses:
Lack of Swept collision detection.
Lack of object freezing.

Sounds interesting.

The typical response to a question like this is: "tell us when you are done."

That’s pretty sweet. I would love to help with this project, but I doubt I’ll find usable periods of time for at least another 6 months.

If you set up a SVN then it would make it easier for people like me to try to help.

I really don’t think the spathi would subjugate the human race. With their reproductive rate they don’t need any man-power. I think the spathi would more likely kill everyone just like the kohr-ah.

But it’s a funny idea anyway.

You need to get a job.

The graphics are good. I would recommend some anti aliasing being done one some of the character images. I got very annoyed while trying to play this though. The ships are harder to control then in SC2. I also got very annoyed trying to kill the chakra, it regenerated faster then I could do damage to it.  I was also very annoyed that bullets would not wrap around. Also the tracking logic for the missiles seams not to lead the target making them very easy to avoid with fast ships.

I was bored so i put the new chmmr in my physics engine.

I also think it’s an interesting project, and think guest is out of line, but don’t be shocked by anyone’s apparent lack of interest. Back when I was still actively working on my clone I couldn’t even get my friends interested in playing it, let alone their help in making it.

Don’t give up on the project just because of a lack of interest. Any kind of project is a great learning experience and in some cases looks really good on a resume.  Sometimes they don't but they are good for avoiding bad jobs, like I was once asked why I didn’t give any information on the 'open source' company in my resume.

This flying saucer is obviously based off of Arilou technology!

That is disgusting.

This one is much better:

In the second frame, it reads "A well know strategy".  It should be "A well known strategy".
The funny thing is I actually proof read the thing several times. I guess this shows that my talents lay elsewhere.

I'm no comic book artist myself, and I'd like to see a close-up of one of the ships, or a battle scene.
Good things come to those who wait.

I'm too tired to actually add the text, but here is the incomplete version:

I got some new memory today. Upgrading my laptop to a full 2 gigs. And I needed it for this comic. The comic (before shrinking) was 2800X2100 with multiple layers.

EDIT:
If you guys want to you are more then welcome to edit the comic to add your own text. Then you could post it on imageshack

I use Paint.Net to do all my picture editing (if you were looking for a program to use) and it is completly free.
