The Ur-Quan Masters Re-Release / General UQM Discussion / Re: Winning "impossible" melee match-ups

Ah, The Utwig.
The counter to the Utwig is the Dreadnought. Why? Fighters.
What you do is as soon as you start, launch two fighters and run away. You ALWAYS want to have one or two - not more! - fighters on the Utwig. If the Utwig shields, he'll lose more shield energy than he will be regaining. If he doesn't, he has one/two fighters plinking away. Eventually he will die. Just keep away, use the planet, whatever.

For SC2, I only ones who have the possibility to make me go stark, raving *frumple* are the Orz (Which, by the way, always sound like they're hitting on me when they say "hello"), the Pkunk, and the Slylandro. I like the Spathi, the Humans, the Thraddash, the Ur-quan, the Illwrath and the Arilu. The others are fine. For SC 3*, I dislike: Humans, Syreen, Spathi, Clairconctlar, DakTakBakPaks, And just about everyone else. The only ones I liked were the K'Tang and Orz. *Yes, SC 3 exists. It was a good game, but once you've played SC 2...

The Ur-Quan Masters Re-Release / Technical Issues / Mac OS X Installing trouble

Hooray! The game I've waited so long to play is on Mac OS X. Rejoice! I download the file from the site. Rejoice! 150KB per seconds! It's done. Huzzah! I open the .dmg, and double click on Install UQM Libraries (Install this first).pk3. Aaaand... Nothing happens. Installer opens, but no installation begins. So I try again. Nothing. Help does no good. What do I do?
