I played through the whole game and that was the only thing that came up in terms of a bug.  Great work!

HI,

Before going off to deal with the Sa-Matra, I had to fuel up at the Starbase as the game reset the fuel to 0.  I had fuel tanks but it wouldn't allow me to fuel up.  Is this a bug?  I had God Mode turned on and not sure if that affected anything.  I was able to finish the game by enabling Infinite Fuel.

The instructions given here for fixing the keymap on newer MacBooks no longer apply to 0.7.0.

I spent a few hours searching the net and looking at code and finally figured out that if you put a file called "override.cfg" in your .uqm directory you can reassign the zoom keys.  For example:

zoomout.1 = STRING:key [
zoomin.1 = STRING:key ]

Assigns "zoom out" to "[" and "zoom in" to "]".

Note that "keys.cfg" no longer exists in 0.7.0 and the syntax has changed.

Also note that the "fn" key does not generate keymap keycodes on newer MacBooks -- this feature was discontinued several years ago.

I'm posting this here in the hope  that other MacBook users can spend their time playing Ur Quan Masters, rather than searching the internet for nonexistent documentation on how to fix this problem...

Hi,

Where can I find the .uqm directory?  I tried looking at the Contents but I don't see a directory there and I also tried using the terminal but could not find a .uqm directory.  I tried looking for .uqm directory through the Finder but none was found.

EDIT: Found it.  it was under the user directory.  Whoohoo!

In case someone is playing with the MegaMod 0.8.0 Rev 4, the zoom in and out on the Mac is the fn key + arrow up/down.

I started a new game using the 4x res and after getting radioactives to the space station, i went to the moon.  Once I got there, i wasn't able to go into the scan screen.  It just booted me back to the navigation screen.  Is that normal?

Yeah I got a hold of him and he gave me special access to his work.
Well, a small chunk of it anyways. But with what he gave me access to I was able to reconstruct the Arilou comm screen and create the wonderful main menu graphics you saw in the OS X screenshot.

Hopefully that's all I need. I don't foresee any further content problems which is why I started hacking away at the comm screen code.

Oooo!  Was he willing to help you with the porting some of those P6014 ships over as an add on?

When I get finished making 0.8.0 what I'd like it to be I'll take a good hard look at the 6014 ships.

I would probably need more of step by step on how to do what you propose with my current P6014.  The issue with the last version of P6014 is that the Yehat doesn't work in Super Melee which is why I was requesting the extra 5 ships be added to UQM Super Melee.

Maybe they can be added as an add-on?  I fear that it would take more time and hacking if it were to be an add-on.

Hi,

I was playing super melee and noticed when choosing ships that there was a message that said for more ships, play P6014.  Seeing that P6014 is not continuing for the foreseeable future, would be it be possible to integrate the new ships from P6014 into UQM?  The P6014 that I am using now (0.2.1) doesn't seem to work anymore on Mac OS.

Just out of curiosity, if I checked out the files from the P6014 google site and followed the steps outlined in http://forum.uqm.stack.nl/index.php?topic=5753.0, would i be able to compile and create a new executable? I just want to fix up the Yehat for Super Melee as per item https://code.google.com/p/project6014/issues/detail?id=70&colspec=ID%20Type%20Category%20Status%20Owner%20Summary.
