Huh. I've never fought any of those battles with my flagship.
I used Spathi and Chmmr to take out the dudes before the Sa-Matra, making sure to lose plenty to get Yehat and Pkunk. I use Yehat to destroy the shield generator thingies. Turn on the shield right when you're going to get hit by the non-fireballs, they launch you away. Then I just use that momentum and take shots at the red things whenever possible. When my Yehat are gone I use Pkunk.
Totally an aside (maybe I should start a new thread), I wonder about the offensive capabilities of the Sa-Matra. Those green things and fireballs are just defensive, right? And it's actually like a sphere of asteroid, not a ring right? So out of its shell... I wonder what it could do.

Building SC2 was the Creator's *day job* for a few years though. That's fine, but you have to admit that it takes focus and commitment to a project to actually finish it, which doesn't hinge on it being a day job or working for money out of contractual obligation. There are mod projects that required more content work and were completed in much less time under similar conditions. 10 years is waaay too long to be explained by gracious excuses, and it's kind of funny to still pretend that these delays are reasonable and there's no problem with how the project is managed at all. Wow, I didn't realize it was 10 years.

@SuperTamaru: I think there's one line in SCII where the Mrnmhrm speak. They say "No" to something. Sounds very mechanical.
That is implausible, considering only the Chenjesu were sensetive enoungh in reading HypeWaves through the slave shield. When communicating with the Chenjesu in StarCon II you're essentially screaming at an almost soundproof wall and only the one with a tool powerful enough can hear you shout with clarity. The Mmrnmhrm only had info relayed to them via the Chenjesu. Do correct me if I got the facts wrong though. EDIT: Correcting a spelling error. Something weird happened. At about 5:55 of this video ( https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_u1Ss0h4GbM), they do indeed say "No," but not at all how I remember. I wonder if the 3DO version sounds different or my brain is playing tricks on me. Or maybe they say no somewhere else... I see what you're getting at, but the video has the lines of the Chmmr, not the Mmrnmhrm or the Chenjesu. But I guess that technically IS Mmrnmhrm, as well as the Chenjesu. No pun intended. On a relevant note, I find dicsussions like these good, makes me think on how they would actually sound. Right. I was thinking that, with the Mmrnmhrm as machines, the Chenjesu did most of the talking, so to speak. Hmm, how to put it. If you made a hybrid of the two species, I figured Chenjesu would be dominant when it came to speech.
