I am using a [FAQ] walkthrough for PC to get me through star control 2 for the first time. Im at the point in the walkthrough where im on a Rainbow World expedition i just Mined a planet here 283.6  785.7 at epsilon draconis. But everytime i try to leave by entering hyperspace i encounter Thraddash. The walkthrough does not mention this bit. But im playing on 3do cd not PC. Thraddash has so many ships against me.

Do i have no choice at this point of the game but to beat all Thraddash,s ships. ?

I have looked up Trolling. I have not used one of these forums before. Im not sure if im off subject. And i did not say words to provoke an emotional response. anything that anyone ever says could provoke an emotional response. Im just talking normally as far as i can tell. I dont make up rules for myself on how i should talk. I say what i think. I can do nothing less. If you think i should not tell people that i have schizophrenia then why not. people realise i am not stupid if they have some understanding of my condition. I thought general discussion meant i could talk about anything.

I do not hnow what these terms mean, so i have looked them up on the internet. Im still not sure what these things allow you to do, or not to be able to do in practical terms. I have mobile phone assisted internet. I can not afford land line rental and broadband. My internet connection is patchy where i live. would this .
1] effect my ability to operate a console with a DRM within it.
2] cost me internet usage.

3]Are ports and mods electronic devises you plug into your console or computer which allow extra functions.
4]Are ports and mods computer programmes you download into a console  which allow you to play any game you want on it.

I have schizophrenia and have been out of touch with the real world and tech stuff for a long time so excuse my ignorance.

So much work and thought and skill and imagination has been put into star control 2 . I cant imagine that anyone would ever put so  much into a science fiction space game again. I still like playing ghouls and ghosts, Golden axe and road rash on my megadrive. I am on my first computer, a second hand lap top which i am learning to use. I hope computers do not kill consoles off. I like things that are specifically designed to play just games. Computers are a dangerous knightmare which has taken over are lives. I felt pressured to get a computer. Game consoles are pure fun. Any sequel to star control 2 will probably have less depth and quality and sci fi within it. I hope i can buy new copies of the game soon and a modern console to play it on.

It seems insane that star control 2 can not be played on modern consoles.
Why Not ?
Who is to blame for this ?

I should have said CD. Not disk.

I just bought 3do off amazon, and Star Control 2 disk off Ebay. The Disk came alone with nothing. It says Star Control 2 on it. When you start the game it says Star Control 2 and also [the ur-quan masters] in brackets. which game do i have. which is best. I love this game. I want both versions now.

I thought i had to manually empty my Lander every time it returned to the ship. I was in fact deleting the contents so i always arrived at the space station with no cargo. what an idiot.

I have just stated playing star control 2 on 3do. I have visited the spathi homeworld and have arrived back at Earths spacestation. I have some minerals and stuff i wish to sell at starbase. none of the buttons i press give me an option to sell my minerals so i can buy stuff. Fuel and Modules is all i can access.
